ICICI Sapphiro Visa/MC to Rupay Conversion is Active Now

Hi everyone, I contacted ICICI customer care and itseems Saphhiro Visa/MC to Rupay conversion is active now. But they are saying that they will cancel existing card/s. I have asked to provide it as an additional LTF card. Lets see. SS attached.


If they do not agree for additional, would it make sense converting and cancelling existing variants?

Update 1: They rejected to provide additional Rupay variant.
"We regret to inform you that as per the bank policy we are unable to provide multiple variants as lifetime free or chargeable."

Update 2: Customer Care informed that Sapphiro Rupay is being issued in Platinum Variant.

I think ICICI shall offer there Emerald credit card LTF to all existing Infinia & Magnus card holders to catchup with the market and build the interest of people into ICICI Cards 😛

Did you receive? Plus are they canceling the other variants if a user is holding multiple variants?

No, i don't have sapphiro, I read a post by user about confirmation from customer care.

And yes they also said about cancelling other variants to get rupay in email, you can search for that thread

Even after having Sapphiro LTF, the ICICI team declined to provide me Rubyx Rupay LTF, when I had asked 2 weeks back on Twitter. Even the normal customer care declined saying you need to maintain salary account with ICICI which I do not. Even applying directly on the website and leaving it in middle didn't result in any call from them.
