Icici savings account opening. Approval required?

I submitted an application for a savings account with a minimum average balance of ₹10,000. Initial funding cheque and verification is done and the geo-tagging process has also been completed. I was informed on April 2nd that the application was sent for approval.

I wanted to inquire if it is standard procedure for icici bank to require an approval process for opening a regular savings account. If so, based on your experience, could you please provide an estimate of the typical timeframe for this approval to be granted?

Mine got approved after 2 days.

Yes icici bank account opening requires approval of submitted documents and kyc.

Don't know why they are following this go with HDFC / DBS smooth online process

Call the guy who opened your account. If you don't have his number then call the helpline number ( get it from Google) and ask them about the status. Or directly search the branch information on Google get bm number and ask him he will surely help as you have already given them check.
In my case two guy came into my house with tablet and opened the account I did not give them any check they said once account is open you can transfer the amount. I sent 50k two days later when I recieved sms about account activation. It says privilege account. I ask my rm he said it is a zero balance account.
Your probably is also a privilege account or family 360 .

About approval it should be constant if the guy who opened your account wants to ( I later asked my rm while applying for apay cc ) . Mine was opened around closing time on a day before Holiday. That's why it took 2 day .
It shouldn't take more than 48 hours for working days

Can you please share the link for opening 10k account, I can only see family 360 or a 3 in 1 account links while opening online which is asking for initial deposit of 1 lakhs

I mainly opened for cc so I put around 3.50 L within 3 days . It could be the reason for privilege account.
