ICICI zero balance account BSBDA ?

After a long conversation with icici bank they are agree to open my icici zero balance BSBDA account but they say there is a condition that I can only open BSBDA account when I don't hold any type of different account in any bank.

Earlier I heard that only if I don't have BSBDA account in any bank then I can Open this account but they are saying this now. So here I am asking to you , is it true or not ?

Don't worry just say them you don't have any other account they will open.
Even if you have any other account say them you don't have.

It shouldn't. AFAIK It will only affect on bank you are opening. Even rbi website it is mentioned same you cannot have regular savings account and BSBDA in same bank and you cannot hold BSBDA account at any other bank but only one.

Actually I tag account opening issue in their twitter handle and one agent called me and told me that I can open BSBDA in icici but I have to close other different banks all accounts including regular savings account and that's why I posted this question here and also I complained on RBI ombudsman.

Just don't tell them about your other accounts. They have no way of knowing without your consent.

Yes, just tell them You don't have any other accounts.

Other banks cannot close your account without consent.

Only the bank you are opening can only close other accounts in same bank if necessary.

Don't trust on the agents. Directly go to the branch and ask to open bsbda account. You can have only one bsbda account across all banks.

I already went to branch but they denied to open the account then I complained on twitter, email etc but still no satisfactory answer so that's why I complained on RBI ombudsman.
