Idfc account close

I have made Account zero balance in idfc and there is no charges pending .
What else to do before closing of account..
Confirmed with customer care .i can close at any branch .. .
Any experience?
Since i will be traveling to another city ..i want it to be closed without any hassle !

Give the details of any other Savings account in the closure form while submitting it to Branch
Even if you have made it zero balance int will be generated (today is 31st, so idk if the int has alrady been paid out to you and you have transferred all the money later)
but better to be on safer side by giving other Bank acc details; who will go to Branch again just to collect DD for interest amt

Account closing process will be offline via Bank and they will ask you to fill other bank details (they asked me to do).

IDFC Bank is very tricky with their policy and methods but closing should be smooth.

Ramiz Raja ko bhej dena branch pe account closure ke liye. Waise bhi aj kal uske pass koi kaam dhanda nhi hai. 😝

Just go to any idfc br

Fill out the clossure with sign and ac number ....

If you give other bank ac, you will get pending balance including with interest else they will also send Demand draft to registered address.

Closed my account recently. Process was smooth af. No other account details was asked. Received a dd of interest amount delivered at home. Acc got closed within 2 hrs of request.

You are asking downgrade via online .. not at all possible except for hni accounts🤣

If you are from premier institution get future first zero balance ac else take bsda ac.

They were giving zero balance ac's who availed secured loans

Ask future first ac ..... depends on mood of br people

Ah for downgrade you have to visit branch. Bcz it requires your consent through biometric in their tab .& Signature

If you are below 25 and having loans or credit card ..... you can request for future first ..... ask br manger

Contact customer care and ask them to send account closure link. Once you got the link click on it a form will open. Fill and submit the form, your account will be closed within 3 days.
Keep in mind they will try to convince you to not close the account. And may even say that it is not possible online. If so, say that one of your friend closed the account by this method.
If they still deny wait for 1 hour and call again eventually someone will do it.
