idfc cc APR increased (silently)?

I had apr of 9 percent on idfc wealth credit card.
I just checked in the app and it now shows 15 percent.
their website shows that the rate May vary from 9 to 42 percent
I haven't checked the spam folder, but didn't see any such sms or email from the bank.
not that it matters to me as I have never defaulted, but if you have a card and the interest rate matters to you, please check yours if it has increased.

also, what might be the reason for this increase?

couple of months ago, mine was reduced to 9% from 15%. I do not have revolving credit, so they kept mine at 9%. If I start putting revolving credit, they may increase to 15%. Probably, new technique to trap unsuspecting customers.
