Spoke to IDFC rewards team getting connected through customer care.

Was told there will be no reward points for Cheq and 99% of PayTM transactions as most are related to CC bill payment. SR has been raised for list of MCC but no response yet.

Has anyone managed to get RP for CC bill payment recently?
No none . people are tired of idfc now 😁
iDfc is giving rp on Freechut il (li) .
Plus this voucher denomination devalue
&118 charges.

They spent too much on Sponsorship just like bijus i guess .
Other than thier no cost on few service.
1 branch - pathetic . Worse than sbi
2 - ivr ( if u ask about rp) - they talk as if u done some crime asking for RP on cc bill pay specially womens 🤣

I know IRRELEVANT QUESTION..
BUT I withdrew my balance from Canara Bank Current Account last month..Entire balance...Now this month they deducted 590 Rs as non maintenance charges...I withdrew as I didn't want to use account and didn't had time to go to the branch and close the account...now my balance is NEGATIVE 590
So if I KEEP THIS ACCOUNT AS IT IS FOR YEARS,NEGATIVE BALANCE WILL ACCULUMATE BUT WHAT COULD HAPPEN? CAN BANK RECOVER DUES FORCEFULLY?

No...they can't. This won't affect yor cibil or anything. Just ignore that account and the bank will close it in few years.

Most of the times, it’s not how you started a relationship that matters, it’s how you ended it that leaves the lasting impression…
All the relationships have had to end at some point of time.. make it pleasant as much possible as you can !!!!

Btw minimum balance is 5k...so if I keep 1.5 lakh for 2 days...Can I keep zero for next 28 days

"The RBI circular, issued on November 20, 2014, states that banks should not take undue advantage of a customer's difficulty or inattention. Banks should inform the customers immediately if the minimum balance requirement is not being met. They should also inform customers about the penal charges that would be applicable for not maintaining minimum balance in savings accounts with them. It should be ensured that the balance in the savings account does not turn into a negative balance on account of levy of charges for non-maintenance of minimum balance, says the circular."
