Since the account is of my mom & I'm handling it, calling wouldn't be possible.
Please tell if emailing them would work ?
And to which email Id ?
They r pathetic. They wan to hear ur mom's voice and then only they will proceed or else they won't. I have tried that many times. It's utter stupid. How on earth can they validate which woman is over the call. Could be any random woman also but no. Idfc and their stupid tantrums.

I have sent an email to social media email I'd, lets see what they come up.

If they call, we won't answer 😂😂

it work so smooth paid over 5L+, instant SMS from hdfc i used idfc private dc so no need to breakup the trnx i also did the same at first but then i thought in second attempt what if half of amount won't show up or anything so took a chance and voila instant credit to hdfc infinia in my situation.

Did you pay 5+ lakh in advance tax or your hdfc infinia credit card bill?

Every bank does that...Even j&k bank...sbi...etc...They just follow the protocol so that customer cannot blame them

Yeah but how on earth can they verify if it's my mom in real or my gf acting to be my mother. Its acutay a blind rule which they follow. If they actually wanna validate, they shud have some fool proof technique. This voice confirmation is just irritating and useless plus an unnecessary hassle. Def validation should be there. I am. Def not against it.

they ask for a women's voice because the call gets recorded and they confirm with your mother that the person who they will give the info is related to them. Once they confirm above and verify account details(like dob, name, pan no etc) then they share whatever details u ask since they have completed verification. Its similiar to when u call too.. they hear a male voice and they proceed to ask certain account verification ques. Remember its all about maintaing a record of conversation so bank is not held responsible and as long as there is a female who is able to answer confidential question of an account and able to pass the verification is considered the account owner.

Atleast ifdc allows to verify with female and then you can further ask question to customer care representative. I know from experience that icici does not allow that, they want the whole convo to be done by the account owner(i.e for ex mother) and imagine if you are actually the one with all info and have to fight with customer care about reward points etc.. wont be possible with such banks like icici.. so all in all would say its good that they atleast allow.
