I've been holding IDFC Select CC for last 2 yrs and yesterday opened 10k MAB digital Savings account. Couldn't do VKYC since not carrying my physical PAN.
I see my debit card has been generated on the IDFC app.
Questions:

1. If I start making txns now rather than waiting for 14 days, will I get RPs for these txns?
2. If point 1 doesn't hold, Can I still make a txn after 14 days (after I'm able to login to firstrewards) and get the Welcome rewards ?

Yes you'll get RPs but I would suggest to do one txn and wait for points to reflect. After that, start doing txn for RPs.

How is being done retrospectively on July date? My understanding from this thread is both Cred and Cheq payments were getting Rewards till now. This is very strange as the bank is setting up itself for RBI complaints. Any idea if this T&Cs were there from before?
The July date is only for specifying the start of reward points accural. There is nothing strange in this - bank realized the oversight and fixed it. This would have been fixed sooner or later. Strange would be if they start forefeiting already accrued points via cc bill payments.
One thing one can complain about is a little vague T&C like below - I mean what other T&C - then you look at bottom and see a link for T&C.

Other TnC Applicable
