Did anyone use idfc private DC for international pos txns? Do we get reward points for the same? As it has zero markup charges, could be of some benefits using them internal or there is equivalent or better credit card alternative. Till now I used scapia, but no benefits there other than zero markup

Sure, in the meantime I want to get my idfc select credit card to be upgraded to wealth credit card. As I'm already in talks with my bm regarding private ltf don't want to jeopardize the situation asking him about wealth cc. Do idfc customer care guys help upgrading select to wealth or any where online it can be done?

Call the CC, ask them for "Credit Card - Product Upgrade without LE" based on your First Private Relationship. Nothing more within 24 hours, you will see the new Wealth CC in the app.

Wait for 3 months before raising the request.
3 months = 3 statements generated, so it will be around 4 months in total.

I got my dad's classic card upgraded to Wealth card after three or two statement and just had a message to RM through WhatsApp and done . Limit is just 1 lakh

After joining TechnoFino, I got to know that we can earn reward points by paying CC bill so in mid May I opened a Wealth account in IDFC and paid my CC bills via Zavo.
BM with his team visited in mid June and during the discussion, I asked if he can upgrade my account to Private to which he said minimum 90 days cooling period is required for a program upgrade from Wealth to Private as per IDFC regulations however he also assured that he will give it a try.
My account is 65 days old as of today!
Apparently, till date they are not able to take whatever approvals necessary for the upgrade and in the meantime, they took my consent and applied for the Mayura card which was rejected because of low CIBIL or late payment reflections. Lol
Just wanted to know whether it’s possible to get the account converted to Private within these 90 days?
If not, I will stop following up and wait till the 90 days cooling period is over.

 

Received a WhatsApp message from the RM that he has taken all necessary approvals and the ‘Private’ status will reflect on my IDFC app by tomorrow and the kit will be dispatched shortly thereafter.

Congrats on getting a Private Account.
Anything is possible. Generally, they recommend a 6-month gap, but it can also be achieved after 60 days.

 

Has anyone seen anyone getting downgraded from Private to Wealth? If yes, what’s the criteria like less than 1 Cr TRV for >6 months or something else
