IDFC First Wealth Account Eligibility Requirement and Benefits - Discussion

Is there a way to open an online account but link it to a specific branch? One of the branches near me agreed to do an instant wealth upgrade, but requested to open the account through them instead of online. If so, I guess 0 MAB is out of question.

I’m n this case , yes can’t do 0 Mab account if you it thru branch

Later found a First Wealth manager who agreed to initiate the process, but he's been ghosting me for the past week.

Tried contacting my VRM as well, She said the same 3 months 10L MAB as well. Is there a way out of this?

I pestered the guy ghosting me enough that he finally picked up the call today. I received the sms and I've given consent now. Let's see how much time they'll take to process the card.

It will be done in one week.
You can check the status of SR in your app

Guys, the proceedings that happened after opening my 0 MAB IDFC SB account yesterday ( i.e. less than 24 hours of account opening).

1) Called IDFC CC and asked someone from my local branch to contact me regarding Welath program. Immediately one bloke called me and asked me fund 10L and after the end of this month he will start processing my Wealth Request. Somehow, I didn't like his voice.. thats me..

2) After a couple of hours I saw a Virtual RM (VRM) was assigned to my account.. I asked him to call me..

3) My VRM called me and he also insisted me for IP of 10L.. but he promised he would kickstart my Wealth upgrade immediately.

4) I funded my IDFC account this morning with 10L ( which were freed up from my HDFC account as I got my Infinia and imperia via ULIP there as you guys know).

5) He sent me an OTP to provide my consent and the welath upgrade request has now been processed and I will receive my Wealth Kit in 7 working days.
Note: my general sb kit is also not processed yet.. so Wealth kit will now be processed..


So, in a nutshell, On-boarding into IDFC Wealth is pretty seemless. and the net result is:

I got IDFC 0 MAB Wealth Account in under 24 hours of account opening with 10L IP,
without visiting any branch or no-one visiting my home , all done thru a few phonce calls...
This is what I call a True seemless Banking on-boarding process to a HNI Program ...
A Stunning on-boarding expereince to Wealth program ..

Another one bites the dust!! It seems IDFC wealth Banking Program upgrade is done .. received the following email:

Note:
Program Upgrade SR is still open and
No Visual appearance change in the App yet..

Probably tonight all the process will be done

Hmm.. Guess it's OK since Wealth is 0 MAB, but you never know what IDFC will do in the future, like downgrade the wealth variant if minimum balance goes below.

My account itself is 0 MAB thru WhatsApp link offer from IDFC, then I moved this account to Wealth program.
Even if they downgrade also no problem for me

Now even the app is also updated, it’s showing Wealth in my IDFC app… only thing left is: Wealth Kit .. it seems it will get delivered in another 3 days.
So, all and all..
Opening a true 0 Balance SB account to getting it upgraded to Wealth took 4 days with the help of 10L funding. Now I can withdraw all my 10L and hunt for any other bargain.. it seems nothing left for me to hunt in the Indian Banking system as of now..for my needs
