IDFC First Wealth Account Eligibility Requirement and Benefits - Discussion

Idfc branches have different criteria depending on the location. If u ask in Mumbai or other cities they will ask for maintaining 10l for 3 months. But I got upgraded to wealth by maintaining only 5l for 3 months as advised by my branch official in a tier 3 city... Once upgraded u don't need to maintain any balance as it's a zero balance wealth account but don't know for how long. Idfc may suddenly start sending mails for maintaining minimum AMB

I only funded 10L for a few minutes to get Wealth upgrade..exactly about an year ago..

Don't rush now.. in one month's time you will get good offers..ie by match March end..
Meanwhile try to get wealth CC

Two days back, I got wealth account opened for my wife with 10L funding. If you don't have existing relationship with IDFC and in Hyderabad, I can share the Sales Manager details with you.

As I am already holding IDFC Wealth Credit Card, it was not allowing them to open IDFC Wealth account directly.

The information provided is incorrect, it is not related to the Wealth Credit Card. As you are already an IDFC customer, they will not get much commission on opening your account.

No it's not incorrect. For me they were not seeing the option to choose IDFC Wealth in their app however for my wife it was appearing. So first I opened First Wealth for my wife and 25K for myself. After 1 week they will link my account to my wife's account and my account will also become Wealth account.

I'm not sure if it was because of wealth credit card but I'm suspecting it was because I was already having customer id with them. So I had to go via offline process.

RM is a pain. Never responds and hence one good reason to move away and open a new relationship. Least helpful RM across anybank I have dealt with.

Sadly I have a select account. Branch wants 50L in FD or 3 months AB of 10L. In any case he never responds.

I was able to open a wealth account with 5L IF. Account was upgraded later as I already hold wealth cc and there was no option to directly open wealth due to an existing relationship.

Open a Wealth account for a family member and add yourself under the family banking. Less hassle.

My friend in orissa opened wealth acc directly. He was told by a new branch BM that initial 5L check needed for funding. The account will be given wealth. He can cash it out later if he wants.

As I was having Customer ID with no sctiv relation so system was not allowing wealth. They made me fill manual form with 5 Lacs cheque and will open in wealth with Approval. Now I have to wait for 1-2 days.
