Today I received a marketing email from idfc stating they released a idfc first wow black credit card.. not sure now black has become a fab for all bank not much of extra the only thing is 50 rp per 150 for hotel booking and 30rp per 150 for airline booking and 1 rp is 0.50..screenshot attached below for reference. 5000 worth welcome gift on payment of annual fee of 750... 1500 instant discount for booking of hotel and flights on make my trip and 500 discount on idfc travel app

Oh another thing redemption value is if we book other than idfc mobile app then 1 rp is 0.25 everywhere else

It does not say fd based and on screenshot it says guaranteed approval... you do can check with bank or care team.

Seemingly a FD card- a slightly better version of WOW (has 1 lounge access per quarter- again spend based)

But the "5K" joining benefits are poor for a 750 annual fee- the 500 voucher is on a minimum of 5K, the 1500 MMT is split between hotels, bus and flights with a minimum spend everywhere.

Oh oh ya I knew not much of value.. only thing is frequent travellers have zero forex and lounge access as you said...

FD based card.
You need to spread your spends to get some benefit out of this. 750+ per year (or spend 1.5L per year to get waiver) is the real dampner. I AM AVOIDING IT.

FD Based card and even then you have to pay an annual fee? Hard pass.
