IDFC Millennia to IDFC Ashva Upgrade - Is It Worth It?

everyone,

I currently hold the IDFC Millennia credit card, and I’ve received an upgrade offer for the IDFC Ashva credit card. I’m considering the upgrade mainly because I’d like to add the physical card to my collection. However, I have a few questions before proceeding:

1. Is the IDFC Ashva card worth the upgrade in terms of benefits compared to the Millennia card?
2. I am not interested in paying any annual or joining fees. If I accept the upgrade, choose not to activate the card, and later request cancellation, will IDFC charge any fees for closure?

Would appreciate input from those who have experience with this card or a similar scenario. Thanks in advance!

Upgrade doesn't mean u will exchange card
You will have both card with merged limit

If you don't active why will they charge
Don't set up pin etc

That means I have to take the card, not activate it and request for closure right.

Thank you

Now the customer has to pay the joining fee upfront in order to get the mayura/ashva card dispatched. They have clearly mentioned it on the card page itself.

Not worth any penny

Do we still have to pay if we cancel the card just after receiving it without activating it
They will dispatch the card once you've paid the joining fee after card approved/upgrade. I don't think fighting will get you back anything here as they have clearly mentioned the condition on the product page itself. Applying means you've accepted terms and conditions associated with the application.

Not worth the upgrade. If you are getting it LTF then take. Otherwise it is another plastic waste. + It is the worst cards of 2024. Basically you can only keep it for collection but nothing else.
There were some posts where people said IDFC charges joining fees before even activating the card. If that happens then you have to run behind bank, PNO, RBI etc. Why all this unnecessary headache when you can ignore it in the first step itself.

Avoid. One of the worst cards of 2024. Piece of crap disguised as metal.
