IDFC Select to Wealth upgrade

Hi, I have IDFC savings bank account under Select banking program.

I learned in this forum that if one can deposit 10L+ in savings account then it can be upgraded to Wealth account. Can anyone tell me for how long one needs to deposit 10L+ fund to get eligible for the upgrade for existing Select customers?

Yes but they will open 25k as their commission is high .
If u want wealth they will mandatory open 25k with hook or crook

Wealth is banking program it doesn't have mab it has nrv requirements.

Account will always be 25k or 10k only or
If u have zero balance then Zero balance account

Who told you to maintain 2 lakh in account
Do fd or invest the hdfc account amount
Unless u r waiting for pre approved cc with good limit

They told (RM and another bank employee) that amount should be as balance. I told them what will the benefit of keeping the money as balance and also told them I read account freeze stories even with 3-4 UPI transactions.

At the end RM told he will get it done and I have his number.

This Bank branch is across street, so I won't mind visiting again if needed.

Here are the latest events:

1. 21st May: Called branch RM to remind him of the Wealth program upgrade for my wife and he said he would it ASAP. He said the Bank already has consent from us and no sms will be coming.
2. 22nd May: He called me that my wife's account is upgraded to the Wealth program and we would receive a Wealth debit card in a few days. He informed me again that it would take time for me as he would need to remove the Select program upgrade offer and apply for the Wealth program upgrade.
3. 28th May: Received the Walth Debit card kit from Bluedart.
4. 29th May: Activated the card. IDFC mobile App still shows select banking and the ticket is still open as well.

Though the welcome letter says, we would get welcome reards points for doing the first Rs.1000 transaction. I don't see anything about 8k points on the IDFC website.

But CC bill payment is excluded from reward program. Cred also does not allow paying with debit card for bills less than 50k.

Any other app which allows using debit card to pay CC bills and get reward points?

hi guys, recently a Virtual RM was assigned to my acc. She casually asked me to maintain balance required for my Select acc. I said F**k no, and told her I added more than required for Wealth acc few months ago, branch ppl were doing notanki by asking ULIP investment etc. She said sorry, and that now if I add 10L she'll get it upgraded to Wealth in few days. Somehow she did it. Just got confirmation from her & that it'll be reflected in the app in few days.

Just 10L acct parking was enough or did u have to hold the 10L for 2-3 months?
I recently got upgraded to select for normal 10k acct. I had to park about 5L for 2-3 months. I wanna upgrade to wealth.

Fund 10 & ask your rm to move his brain to work ..
Negotiate prior to funding

Or visit branch

I added funds on 23rd it didn't reflect in their upgrade system as 23rd was holiday then today he took the upgrade request and gave me SR No. am able to see it in app as well but strangely this time didn't receive any consent SMS like last time...

Received a mail stating my SR is approved but it's still showing Select on the app. And SR is also open let's see will call my RM tomorrow....

Yes it should be done mostly. It is opposite for me. SR is still open and App and Netbanking show Select
But the redemption portal and mails show Wealth and even wealth virtual debit card is showing up.
Seems to be many underlying sub processes and not always executed in one order !
Might take atleast a week for the whole process to be done

They have double system kinda thing my old RM told me ... Not sure what that means completely but afaik ig backend frontend...
