Hi All,

IDFC has started issuing Power+ as second. This was not available before. Only IDFC Vistara was eligible as second. Now you can also apply for Power+ card with shared limit. Instant approval & virtual card available for existing IDFC customers. I got my card today morning.

I did first transaction of Rs. 4000 at HPCL petrol pump and it was showing the transaction as Rs. 4139.20 as the amount transacted and Rs. 40 was showing as credit as fuel surcharge waiver. Net amount showing is Rs. 4099.20 which is very bad because almost 100 rupees extra charged. I have never seen such extra charges on other fuel cards. Anyone else used this card at HPCL?

I have the receipt as well. Its Rs. 4000. When I did the transaction 2 days before, I got the email as well from IDFC saying debit of 4000. When I checked IDFC app, 2 days before, it showed 4000 only but when I checked again today, transaction was settled and now its showing 4139.20 and 40 credit as fuel surcharge waiver also.

Now I understand the same issue happened with me on Axis Flipkart CC when I swiped for ₹1000.

Mail & Msg from Axis shown ₹1000 only, but was charged extra when came to know it's the petrol bunk merchant who is levying extra MDR charges and not the bank.

Also bank being fair it return 1% too, it's the petrol bunk Merchant who is posting extra charges to customers using CC.

Change the petrol bunk and experience if the same happens again.

Also, out of curiosity did you receive Reward points? How much?

Got the 662 reward points for this transaction, which is correct. 24 reward points per Rs. 150

That's nice. MCC issues isn't happening. But merchant being greedy charging extra from customers
Petrol pump did not say anything about MDR charges when using credit cards. Is it legally allowed? because the receipt that they give shows the transaction amount of Rs. 4000 only.
I have used other credit cards in same petrol pump, but never seen this extra charges.

Merchant is not greedy.

Here Shit Banks are greedy and finding different ways to loot the customers, specially when it comes to Fuel Surcharge.

ICICI POS charging minimum 10+GST form Rs.1.
ICICI here is not wrong since officially Minimum Fuel Surcharge is 1% or Rs. 10 whichever is higher.

Where @srichaitanya, did the txn Acquirer Bank charged the 2.5%+GST.
Here Acquirer Bank is at fault, for not charging Surcharge as per industry practice.

@srichaitanya can you confirm from the Chargeslip which Bank Name is mentioned on it ?

So that we can avoid POS of that Particular Bank at Petrol Bunk.

Abb txn se phle petrol ke rate ke saath sath Surcharge ka rate bhi check karna padega.

Jaise kabhi outstation tour pe hote hai toh sochte hai another state m pertrol ka price down hai toh waha se refill karwayenge abb saala POS kis Bank ki hai yeh bhi dekhna padega, petrol Pump select karte time
