I'm having bad experiences with HDFC Pixel credit card

I get that the topic title seems like clickbait but...idk how else to put it the experience so far has been bad from the start.

The only good thing about the card is that I got it before the expected date and from Bluedart of all which is saying a lot. But past that no...its been a disaster. Oh and the smartpay vouchers that they offer atleast gives 5% cashback so that's good.

My first problem is that the Pixel Visa network card can't seem to work on pairing with Samsung Pay, Google Pay and even HDFC's own app Payzapp. I contacted support already and while they at least responded, they are slow as molases and cannot just give their customer number and still haven't fixed the issue. And their customer number doesn't even accept the card number that I put for both the Visa and Rupay variants.

My second problem is the cashback as per their terms. Now for UPI scan and pay for the Rupay variant, I'm supposed to get 10% cashback and this is clearly mentioned in their terms here

Yes the last point makes that whole 10% cashback thing all moot but still...its suppose to be valid up until 28th of Feb 2025 which is this year. So far from the restaraunts that I had dining, it doesn't show it as 10% but only 1%.

And one international spend that I did on Steam is still showing as awaiting confirmation from merchant...how is HDFC going to contact international merchants, I wonder.

If this bad customer service continues..I can't believe I'm saying this, but Jupiter CSB Edge seems to be a better value card than this. I will update it if HDFC addresses all my issues.

New Cards and new BINs take time to come up everywhere. These things are a bit more complicated technically than it seems.

Deciding Cashback depends on the merchant MCC. If it's wrong, you will get wrong or no cb.

On the website, they mostly document the standard rewards and policies. Occasional offers are listed separately.

Every transaction goes through the settlement procedures and waits for a merchant to complete it. 😀

Customer Care, Split limit from the existing HDFC cards, and No availability at the BBPS are major pain points right now 😢

I showed the bug regarding the tap to pay option. Seems like they have removed the tap to pay enable menu from the Payzapp. I'm suppose to get response by 14th of Feb.

Meanwhile I'm still upset that even the e-vouchers are not giving the 5% cashback as they claim it to be. I bought two 250 amazon vouchers thinking I'd get 27 INR but its in both cases 1%.
