Hahaha good one... But I think you're confused about the dates.. You should open this thread on 1st April instead

Serious note based on her past performance I just see more taxes incoming with some comical relief of 1000-2000 rs per month while taking away more taxes in lakhs...I hate the current tax regime even though I come from a bjp supporter family

Thanks. I have added the reference announcement that is currently applicable.
Why on 1st April? In fact, I think this is the right time to give suggestions and talk about the expectations before the budget announcement scheduled on Feb 1, 2025.
It seems like credit card enthusiasts are not interested in tax talks.
:hehe:

1st April as it is April fools day

Individuals upto 1 karod no tax
Above 1 karod 50 percent.
Any business above 1 karod 50 percent on " turnover amount "
Every person looting/exploiting in the name of "BUISNESS EXPENSES" 100 percent

My expectations regarding tax slab from this budget.

New Tax Regime:
0-4 Lakh: 0%
4-8 Lakh: 5%
8-12 Lakh: 10%
12-16 Lakh: 15%
16-20 Lakh: 20%
20-24 Lakh: 25%
24 Lakh+: 30%

Old Tax Regime:
Babaji ka thullu (No change).
This a actually good. If it happens den tat s more good.

Tai kah rahi h up to 15 Lakh kuch relief degi. But don't expect too much.

Personally waiting for clarification on rebate u/s 87A under new regime. Whether capital gain include in total income for calculation of rebate u/s 87A or not. Last year they changed form silently on 5th July and after that lot of returns proceed with demands.

Taxpayer's Fantasy Tax Regime:

New Tax Regime:

  • 0-25 Lakh: 0% (Because we all need a little sunshine in our wallets!)
  • 25-50 Lakh: 5% (A small fee for the privilege of daydreaming about early retirement.)
  • 50-75 Lakh: 10% (Just enough to make us feel responsible but not too much to crush our spirits.)
  • 75 Lakh - 1 Crore: 15% (For those who are almost there but need a gentle reminder that life is still unfair.)
  • 1 Crore and above: 0% (Because apparently, once you hit the jackpot, taxes are just a myth!)

Since we are playing this fantasy game, let me share my version of 2girls-1cup.
  • 0-7 Lakh: 0%
  • 7-15 Lakh: 10 %
  • 15-20 Lakh: 20%
  • 20 Lakh and above: 30%
Other taxes for all types of MF/Stocks
  • 10% LTGC with indexation
  • 20% STGC without indexation
3 years long term for all types of MF (both debt, equity and mix/Stocks)

We need to follow gold standards to apply Income Tax, we cannot apply randomly.

There shouldn't be Income tax till cost of 145 grams of gold.

Today gold rate is 8044 for 1 gram 24kt.

8044 x 145 grams = 11,66,380 rs

0 to 1200000 = 0% Tax
1200000 to 1800000 = 5% tax.
1800000 to 2500000 = 10% tax.
2500000 to 3500000 = 15 % tax.
3500000 to 4500000 = 20% tax.
above 4500000 = 25% tax.

We as a country dont need 30% tax slab, we are not a developed country and we are not getting any benefits from govenment for paying taxes.
