Will update the new Income Tax rate after budget presentation on February 01, 2025.

It's budget time, guys... make some noise!

Yes and salary walo ko kuch nahi milega- same high expectations every year and same poor outcome for us
Apne liye to bhai tax kaat lo aur service k liye puchho to hmare yha direct jawab milta hai srkari kaam hai time to lgta hai aur inse chalan k service k liye puchho to jaha ni v hona chahiye waha v chlan k liye pahoch jaate h

I propose jb country developed ho jaye tb tax lo development me to sbko jrurt hai paiso k tvi to growth & per capita income badhega

All slabs 0% tax.
Tax free country.

Aise v charges k naam pe jitna wasulte hai utna kaafi hai kisi v govt. Ko chalne k liye.

Black money circulate to inhi k karan ho rha hai tax k chori etc.

My expectations regarding the tax slabs in the upcoming budget: 🤣
New Tax Regime:
  • ₹0-5 Lakh: 0%
  • ₹5-10 Lakh: 5%
  • ₹10-15 Lakh: 10%
  • ₹15-20 Lakh: 15%
  • ₹20-30 Lakh: 20%
  • ₹30 Lakh and above: 30%
I also expect the standard deduction to increase from ₹75,000 to ₹1 Lakh, and the standard rebate limit to rise to ₹10 Lakh.

Tai kah rahi h up to 15 Lakh kuch relief degi. But don't expect too much.

Personally waiting for clarification on rebate u/s 87A under new regime. Whether capital gain include in total income for calculation of rebate u/s 87A or not. Last year they changed form silently on 5th July and after that lot of returns proceed with demands.
Any update on this 15 Lakh tak tax free?

10 Lakh tak v karde toh bahot hay... bas free ka money distribution ka kuch karna padega. Dena hay toh sabko do.

Jo tax pay karte hay unko chod kar sabko bant rahe hay hamara tax pay ka paisa.

Madam Finance Memester are u listening?

budgets gonna be sub par as it has been for a few years. And the market is already correcting based on that. More pressure on middle class incoming!

Wishful thinking:

I will want more and more people pay tax based on equity. Rich farmers, small businessmen as well as salaried middle class. My wishlist will be income tax for everyone earning about 3 lakh (or 5 lakh at worst) even if it is as low as 5% and maximum of 25% without any cess. Probably just three slabs- 5%, 15% and 25%. All exceptions / exemptions should be removed. How one wants to spend money post tax is their wish. Someone may want to home and pay emi. Others may want to buy BMW. Some other may want to do ULIP. No exemptions based on what one do with money after one earned. Lastly, treating tax on different type of investment similarly.

Same wish with GST. Any GST above 8 to 9% is crime against humanity (economy) especially when they have already paid tax on money they are going to spend. 18% gst on banking, telecom, insurance services, 28% gst on AC, cars. That is terrorism.

Middle Class should be ready for surprise this year on Feb 1 due to Delhi election.

One masterstroke and Dlehi will vote Kejri out and budget is the weapon this year. Deliberately elections are held after budget which were in Jan in 2020 although at that time budget was a March thing.

Expecting 2.5% reduction in 10L-12L slab which is 15% right now. So 12.5% will bring cheers to middle class. Already 10000+400 given last year applicable from this year. So extra Rs.5200 for votes.

I standby with my earlier expectations:
My expectations regarding tax slab from this budget.

New Tax Regime:
0-4 Lakh: 0%
4-8 Lakh: 5% (Rebate up to this)
8-12 Lakh: 10%
12-16 Lakh: 15%
16-20 Lakh: 20%
20-24 Lakh: 25%
24 Lakh+: 30%

Old Tax Regime:
Babaji ka thullu (No change).

Ha ha..

I had to use calculator to ensure it is sarcasm. 😁

Will there be new income tax in the upcoming budget?

Banks and financial institutions already feeling heat and economy also not doing great, but Nirmala madam is known to make life miserable for tax payers

Yups it was a sarcastic post but with clear calculations.

Last year 3-5 and 6-9 slab made 3-6 and 7-10 (9-10 was 15%). 5% decrease over 2L amt making effectively 1L MEAN calculation at 10%.

So 1 Lakh increase in lower slab made outflow of Rs.10000 +4% cess (10% of 1L) back in pockets. Now if they cut 2.5% this year in 10-12L wali slab which turns out to be 5000+4% cess in tax benefit. So 5200 more will come in middle class pocket and we all know middle class votes for Rs.1000 benefit also. Lower middle class earning upto 7.75L are already under Nil direct tax. But then Govt covers the same from them by increasing GST from 5 to 12 or 18 to 28 to get everything back.

Everything is ok but 5000 + 4% = 5120? Or I am missing something.
