Increase limit of new SBI Cashback Card

ChequeMate

TF Buzz
Applied for SBI Cashback CC on 29th August, it got approved on 3rd September and currently dispatched (not in hand yet). But they only gave a very low limit of 16k.

I already have a SBI Simplysave CC with 50k limit which is not used at all(most transactions done via my ICICI Amazon Pay CC), so can the limit of this card be transferred to the Cashback card?

First thing:
Congratulations on getting SBI CB card … you had done it… not many are getting this card lately especially as a second SBI card…

Next:
Yes, you can try by asking SBI card cc and if there is an offer available to transfer , you will most likely are going to get transferred the CL from SS to CB, leaving minimum amount in SS and transfer max allowed to CB card..
All the best and do update here the outcome

Thank you, I honestly didn't even knew something like this card existed as I was very noob to CCs in general (didn't even use my first CC for 2+ years), mostly want to use it for Utility payments and phone bills.

Yeah I will try to call the SBI card team tomorrow and ask them about credit transfer, as I do not see any credit limit increase option on the website for my Cashback card, says you already have availed maximum limit (although simplysave has option of increasing by like 10k).

My SBI CB CC got approved with 50K Limit (1st SBI CC). I got upset because of low limit. (4.6L for ICICI, 2.76 for Axis). Now it seems even 50k is too much for SBI CB CC standard.

Correct, getting the card itself is an achievement these days.. 50K limit is not that bad..you can pre pay the outstanding and keep using the card..one day you will get LE.
All the best

My SBI CB limit is also 50K. Which is more than sufficient maximum I have used is 40K in a month. More than 50K purchases are covered with Apay and FK Axis. And now SBI is not issuing me the 2nd Card saying over leverage. Not even SS or SC.

Your only option is getting a pre approved offer if SS / SC / bpcl thru split based CL in future

Yes.. credit limit transfer works in SBI. Personal experience

I am going to close my paid Flipkart Axis and I don't wanna use Amazon ICICI for 3% CB (Non Prime User). That's why I applied for SBI CB CC. Another reason is 5% CB on Electricity payment. All these combined spends may cross 50k in some months. So I needed More than 50k (Like 80k ). But I believe I have to wait for limit increase offer

Is it over leveraged because of Existing SBI CB CC or existing other bank CC?

Not sure. But I think for other bank cards.
