Indian bank charging minimum balance penalty charges.

Any way to ask the Indian bank not to charge the minimum balance? I tried RBI ombudsman but its stuck in initial phase. and no progress from last 6 months. Now I am thinking to pay them the charges. Any other way please recommend.

I have an SBI account as a primary; this indian bank account was from my college time. I initially thought that let it charge money as I am not using it., but recently came to know that some of my mutual funds are linked to that account. And they will withdrawn to indian bank only.

Changing the bank account also requires an cheque of indian bank and to get a cheque book I need to maintain balance. So thinking to pay the minimum balance and get cheque book. and may be also kept the account running by maintaining the min balance of 2500. suggest if any other idea.
