It is very much possible. My branch is adamant to open a HNI Savings with Indie.

No charges till you have signature card. If re-carding happens and you get a platinum card only then there will be charges.

What is this re-carding in the first place? Like, physically, the card is signature, but will be treated as Platinum?

And then, they will levy charges for the AMC of Platinum.

But if we fund 50k more or maintain AMB, they will convert the status to Megastar.

Then, re-card the re-carded card.

Clearly, a retarded approach by Indie.

What is this re-carding in the first place? Like, physically, the card is signature, but will be treated as Platinum?

No, visa signature card can't be treated as paltinum. Recarding means they will block your current card and issue a new one matching with your current tier.

Recarding will happen if you don't do anything to move yourself back and match your tier with your debit card for many assesment periods.(not sure how many)

No, only virtual card. You have to order physical one

If recarding ever happens to you they will by default give you a virtual card. After that you have to order physical card manually if you want it.

And yes it will be zero maintenance account at star level. But there may be other charges which are currently free at megastar level.
