INDIE , the IndusInd's SUPER APP - for existing SB A/C holders

Guys and Gals,

Today I opened an INDIE account ... App version: 1.1.36

Background: Currently I have the following relationships with IndusInd.
1) Exclusive Bank Account
2) Legend CC
3) Pinnacle CC
4) Fixed Deposit

Process:

After giving, mobile no, OTP, PAN, Aadhar and OTP again.. the account was created instantly in a jiffy ... Extremely smooth ..
No profile detials are required, No VKYC required.. it is showing KYC status as Verified...
Funded 50K via UPI... got Megastar immediately and Virtual DC generated immediately and ordered Physical Visa Signature card for free..

Observations:

1) My Indie account number is : 18 XXXXX XXXXX = my mobile number with 18 prefix. IFSC Code : INDB0000004
2) My Exclusive bank Account no: 15 XXXXX XXXXX = my mobile number qith 15 prefix . IFSC + my local branch
3) All my existing credit cards ( Legend, Pinnacle) are shown in Indie, surprisingly, it is showing an extra Pinnacle MC World Contactless CC as another CC
4) All my Fixed Deposits are shown in Indie..
5) Showing INDIE virtual DC
6) MISSING: My Exclusive account Visa, MC and Platinum DCs are not shown in Indie yet.. Probably they slowly migrate them into Indie at a later stage...
7) A Link to open the legacy IndusInd mobile APp

With this, my suspicion is turning into reality...

I think moving forward INDIE will be the face of IndusInd's technology..
the current IndusInd mobile will be slowly phased out ...

More importantly, the current Select, Exclusive account holders.. no need to worry about your accounts...
They will be kept as it is.. They wont be replaced with INDIE account.. They will be there...


The objective:
So , in effect I will have the following, in an ideal case scenario:

1) 0 AMB Exclusive Account
2) 0 AMB Indie Megastar Account
3) 2L Indie FD
4) Legend CC LTF
5) Pinnacle CC LTF
6) 3 Exclusive DCs - Visa, Master and Platinum - LTF
7) Indie Visa Signature DC - LTF

That's the plan.. Lets see how it pans out...

As they are getting ready to kill IndusMobile. thought I'll check back with Indie that had issues doing Aadhar KYC for me at the time of launch. I thought as in any case I had to take Indie, might as well as create an Indie account. So I inputted the PAN number and mobile number, filled in the asked details. The account got created. However, my credit cards aren't showing up, and it is saying I have to do VKYC for the full KYC. How to link my 2 IndusInd credit cards to Indie? Also, if I already have an existing relation with IndusInd, why am I asked to do another VKYC?

INDIE is, by far, the worst mobile banking app made. It hangs, and even if decides to work, it's sluggish. keeps crashing. sometimes it doesnt even open. atleast the exisitng indusind mobile app works as expected even tho its not modern looking.
Indus is really going to screw this up grandly.
(I use it on S23 ultra. NOT sure how the ios experience is)

Indusmobile stopped working for me claiming that "unsafe keyboard app is installed". The only keyboard I have is the google indic keyboard.

Yes SundasMobile breaks if using GBOARD made by GOOGLE which is the default keyboard in STOCK ANDROID because they think it's malware if it's installed on a Samsung or Chinese phone for example which does not have GBOARD. Total clowns they are at SundasBank. Soon Undie 🩲 will also get this "feature" I feel.

I am an existing pioneer customer and they are forcing to move from Indusmobile app to Indie telling March 31 is cutoff. But opening Indie, it is asking to open an indie account with Aadhar KYC etc. Why? I just wanted to operate my existing pioneer account from Indie app not to open new account.

I finally got my Indie account going. As I happen to be a person with blindness, they said VKYC can't be done. RBI provides for doorstep banking service for disabled people. I was told by IndusInd CC that on Indie, doorstep banking is currently unavailable. Had to got to a nearby branch. The manager, who was told biometric authentication would be required for KYC for disabled, then informed that the branch doesn't have a functioning biometric machine available, and a more prolonged process will have to be done. He ensured I didn't have to go again to the branch and provided doorstep banking. Took another couple of days for the process to be completed. And finally the account is up and running.
Any way to change the branch? They've assigned me a branch based on my Aadhar address rather than the communication address. Usually not a big deal, but having heard they are prone to the Freeze syndrome, would want the branch close by.
Also, the app needs significant improvement on the accessibility front. Don't know contacting the team through a Playstore review would make any difference.

At this point, I would suggest you to just change banks, given how much trouble they have put you through.
