IndusInd Bank Application - Physical Verification ?

Recently, I applied for Indusind bank Card, and I received a verification call. After confirmation, I received a call from an agent to verify the address physically.
He never showed up. When I called back to the number after like 4-5 hours, he said that he had already verified my address by asking the Security.

When I asked the Security, he said that nobody came to ask him anything.

So, is this some kind of fraud, or has the verification failed?

It is not fraud. Same happened with me last month, the card was approved. I have arrived at two conclusions either the agents are lazy or the person calling you was from the back end team and just needed to record a verbal confirmation.
Usually there are a few reasons for physical verification not taking place like already having the same bank’s credit card or address already mentioned in credit report.

Now, whether the card was approved or declined (for a 2nd time), the address was already mentioned in the CIBIL report, possibly by HSBC bank, as I got their card recently. So, that could be the reason.

BTW which card are you applying for and why was it rejected earlier?

I applied for IndusInd legend as it was offered LTF.
First one got rejected, mostly because I had applied for a card to card basis, using co-branded Amazon Pay ICICI Card, which had not completed even 1 year. Because, last time, there was no verification call or physical verification.

IndusInd is weird when it comes to verification before card issuance. For my mother the address verification occurred 2 months after card delivery😂

No account with them & i had only 2 cards before that

Quick question - How long does IndusInd take to approve/reject an application?
And how long did they take , for yours

Kotak's rejection was weirdest for me: "You already hold excessive credit cards, so we can't give you".
And I'm holding only 6 😂 which is far less than many ppl in this forum.

How did you get the reason? I got that sadakchap "Internal Criteria".
Also, IndusInd does not give you if you hold many cards, but they approve easily for holders of like 6-8 cards.

They've written it properly in the mail citing 2 reasons. First one is generic internal criteria and 2nd one is this.

There was no mail in my first application. I got to know because the bank person and the customer care told me.

It has been 6 months for me. No mail or anything.
