Indusind cc asking for address proof OVD after 3 months

i have received SMS from indusind after 3 months of using the card, saying that I should submit my address proof OVD (official valid documents) as mandated by RBI.

The sms is from original indusind sender.

they mentioned that if i don't submit the documents, i will not be able to redeem points from 1st Nov.

my doubts:
1. my video kyc was successful. then how can the bank ask for address proof again?
2. if they really don't have address proof and it is mandated by RBI, they should close the card account. but they have mentioned that only reward redemption will be restricted. sounds fishy.

Concern here the same is a miss when onboarding and its identified by their concurrent auditors within 90 days and they seek it from you now and close the audit point.
To make u take it serious they said reward point on hold lol.
As long as u feel its unsafe then dont respond to it online and visit nearest branch with card and id proof which is secured.

haha the joke's on them...i have that card mainly for lounge and instant discount. i would have taken more seriously if they had threatened to close the card!

now the question remains, if i don't give this proof, will they block my card? the sms seems genuine, came from the same sender that sends me otp.

If they dont receive proof from you directly or through branch then their audit finding will remain open so next sms u may get of card closure to make u feel serious; but in reality will they close its not sure so better to fix it here and use those benefits as usual.

got this email today. apparently, not allowing users to redeem rewards but allowing spending on the same card is equivalent to 'blocking' for them!
indusind taking coaching from Axis it seems!:

Please note, your card will work for transactions, however you would unable to do reward redemption.

better to provide those docs and get the card live (yes every bank lacks on training!)
