Do it online and link your card, as easy as that.
You will need some initial funding to open the account

I too was stuck like this, but fortunately i got an upgrade offer for Pinnacle with 15k joining fee.

You can upgrade your account, not possible to hold 2 account in same bank.

You have to close existing account and visit branch to open a new one. this is the ONLY way.

No way without a branch.

Yeah i got a select account created, the netbanking & account number everything is ready & shows both my accounts there. But the bank people did say that some exception will come which will take some additional time until I can use my deposited balance. Thats why went for the select version with 1L initial funding. If it gets created without hassle I'll upgrade it to the exclusive one by depositing another 1L & then use my Pinnacle card to withdraw all from there.

My bad, I did not research properly. I replied with my personal experience with BOI since they once told me it was not possible, which is rubbish; I recently found out

They denied opening 2 bank accounts (Indusind), then let me open it after some time, they did mention that some "exception" might be raised, but thankfully, no such thing happened & the account was opened (Indie + Select -- will be upgrading to exclusive)

Congrats on getting the account opened hope u get upgraded soon !! Some branches say it's not possible without knowing anything idk why mb to make their life easy.
