Indusind Exclusive Savings Account Discontinued !!

The BIN for exclusive account is discontinued and BM showed me mail from head office regarding discontinuation of exclusive account.

Your RM is up for big trouble as select account will be opened by bank for all such customers whose BIN is selected as exclusive account (As informed by BM). He told me, even if he open my account with BIN of exclusive, select account will be opened by the bank.

I opened a Pioneer Add on and an Exclusive add on 2nd or 3rd or March, it shows Exclusive Add On in app, nebanking and statement, received exclusive KIT. I have Exclusive Sig, Exclusive MC World DC for that account. Again these are not fresh Exclusive Account just Add on accounts. My RM confirmed for Add On accounts, he didn't confirm on new accounts as of yet.

Right bro...BM asked me if anyone in my family has then he can open add on or family exclusive account

Thats why i don't react to any such verbal communication, if T&C changes, there is point of discussion. I will act else easy peesy.
Not all banks always publish changes in account schemes/variants discontinued for further a/c openings. Indus Partner account is also discontinued since long, and its website is just there as it is for years. Indus Privilege Savings Account (10K MAB) is also discontinued for further account openings, replaced by the 25K MAB Privilege Max which is still opened by branches. If you are waiting for IndusInd to update their website about all the older account schemes discontinued, you will be waiting forever. They may never update that.

Is add-on account be created by RM online? Or branch visit required ?
Family member has delite account created recently ,need to convert that to exclusive add-on .
Hopefully they dont ask for initial funding .

Members want to open HNI accounts in Indusind bank in spite of all fiasco happening in that bank. Brave members and the word HNI is blinding them.

Their banking business is better than 70% of private banks. I mean yeah they have non-banking issues but that makes it right time to get HNI accounts with them.

Existing holders of those discontinued product will require these details.
eg. IDFC Vistara is discontinued, but site will remain till there are users of that product.

I hold Pioneer, doesn't affect me on this. But yes, those who find exclusive useful should grab now, and if things changes, big deal, migrate to other variant or just close.

Story continues..

Not a customer friendly bank. All employees are worser than PSU bank. The nomination change is pending for 45 days and the customer care is most useless

IndusInd Bank is losing its value day by day.

Though it is already in a bad state, it is getting even worse.

It is not a good option to add to our portfolio.

For those considering IndusInd Bank, I would only say: "Stay away from this bank for peace of mind."

My experience may not be the same as others', but in general, this is not a customer-friendly bank, as you mentioned.

SBI and BOB are far better.

Unless they improve their customer support, branch employees, net banking, and IT infrastructure, they won’t survive long or will remain one of the most underperforming banks.

The product is not discontinued for existing holders. Nothing changes for those who already have Exclusive account. The only thing that has changed is for new customers who want to/wanted Exclusive account at the branch but can't get it now. Also some branches of some of my friends are still saying the account is not discontinued for new customer onboarding. But OP's branch and my branch confirmed that for now it's on hold/suspended/discontinued.

This Exclusive account was not even some variant that could be opened online. It could only and only be opened at the branch. And therefore anyone who visits the branch will be informed by the branch staff that the product/variant is discontinued. Eventually IndusInd may announce on the website as a courtesy that this variant is no longer allowed for new onboarding. But they probably won't even update that given how for other account variants they silently discontinued those.

Indus Partner is discontinued for over a year. Indus Privilege account is discontinued even longer than that and replaced by Privilege Max. Do you see those announcements on the website? No. There are account variants that came before and are now discontinued for new customers. Existing customers not affected, T&C remain the same for them, therefore no announcement on website. In some small footnote in some PDF, they may or may not announce. Now if any changes in rewards or important Terms and Conditions occur like MAB required, schedule of charges etc those things are announced by the bank on the website as is mandated by RBI.
