INDUSIND EXCLUSIVE SAVINGS ACCOUNT + PINNACLE CARD = Zero MAB

since there are many threads created for this same topic , I thought of clearing all the doubts with this new post.

I can confidently say that the below information is correct.
1. you need to own a pinnacle / indulge credit card.
2. if you have legend , you can get it upgraded to pinnacle. pinnacle with 5L + limit will be eligible for indulge. but I okay with pinnacle of now.
3.open Indusind exclusive savings account by visiting branch you can not open it online. I was told by the RM (relationship manager) that grande account supports this aswell, but initial funding is 5L.
4. Once you have opened the account wait of the kit to arrive.
since we are previously using pinnacle CC in Indusind mobile app , it will not support the account linking procedure.

click on create new user id and first enrol your exclusive bank account debit card details , then after successful login , go into mobile application , left side bar , you have an option to link the existing relations , over there you select credit card and then you link it.

it usually takes 24-48 hours for linking , logout of the application and re- login after 24 hours and you will see it over there.
sometimes this doesn't work swell, then you will need to call the cc , ask them to de-register the cc from your mobile app and then map your existing account. once deregistering is done wait for 24 hours and follow the process from beginning. linking debit card , then your credit card etc etc.
since exclusive account is a premium account, drop a mail to exclusive@indusind.com,( you will usually get response in 24 hours , tops) asking them to confirm if your account is zero balance savings account. which I have done and they gave me a confirmation. mail proof for future reference.

note:
I was told by a DBM that , existing accounts can not be converted to indusexclusive, even if converted and mapped to pinnacle credit card , there is very less possibility for it to be converted to a zero mab account.
so new account is necessary , with new account you will Get a Indusind exclusive kit, which has a visa signature/ master card dc it will be sent from Mumbai. wait till you get that card.

visa signature/ MWorld C - annuall charges are 1999 + get. but with this account you get it for free(LTF). you will need to link your account to cc based on these cards not platinum card I believe.
kindly check this with the CC or drop a mail to exclusive DL.

if you already have a visa signature card , my suggestion is to go with master world card , since it gives golf privileges , unlike pinnacle master credit card , there is no minimum spend criteria for the MW dc card.

Indus Exclusive account has been devalued since November as Exclusive debit cards have been excluded from the big basket 500 discount offer.

My thoughts are that they can also remove the pinnacle zero balance criteria anytime they want. This is not like a LTF card where they cannot make the card paid in future as they have themselves explicitly offered it as Lifetime free. There is no such promise with 0 MAB Indusind exclusive account via pinnacle criteria. The bank can revise the criteria at any time just like they revise interest rates.

We can also close the account anytime. This is not like we have taken an oath that once account is opened, it can't be closed. We also made no promise to keep exclusive account with us for lifetime.
 
I have Indusind Select account and Pinnacle CC, how should I convert to Exclusive 0MAB , Currently Select needs to keep 50k AQB requirement.

If I simply link my Pinnacle CC to Select Account, will it automatically convert to Exclusive 0MAB?

Go to branch and give a written request to upgrade the account to exclusive. It'll be done in the same day. Then link pinnacle cc.

Sir. im also in same position. having select account with recently upgraded pinnacle CC(earlier legend). i spoke to branch RM, but he is unaware of this 0MAB at all. Inturn he is asking me where is circular/broucher. im seriously struck in between. can u help me in this regard.

No need to tell them all these. Most of the employees do not have proper training and knowledge about their own products. Nor they are passionate about their job, that they'll dig up those information themselves from website.

Just go to branch and tell them to upgrade the account to exclusive and tell them that you'll maintain 1 lakh average balance. I'll be done the same day. Next day from mobile app you'll be able to see the change of scheme name of the account.

As you have upgraded to pinnacle, I believe it's already linked to the customer id, so no need to link it. Just go to branch and tell them to upgrade it.

Does this mean non-maintenance charges for Select Savings Accounts linked to Legend CCs?
I guess not, someone received customer care's reply that you don't have to maintain the MAB if you hold Legend CC, though you can mail to get the response from customer care for future references.

Sure we can, but many of us spent so much time and effort in getting this 0 balance exclusive account. It would be sad (effort wasted) if we end up closing it very soon. A big devaluation (big basket) has already hit. BookMyShow offer might be next. I think they did this as they now have too many (0 MAB?) exclusive accounts.

It's properly linked as I can see. No need to email. Also, indusind customer care never tells anyone that account is now zero balance. They reply on hypothetical manner with ifs and buts. No need to worry, your account is now zero balance. You can send email, no harm in it.
