Years back, in good old days of Jet Airways i was a platinum JP Member - holding Amex Ket Airways Platinum card - once Jet airways got bust - this was converted to a LTF Indusind intermiles odyssey card - Visa and Amex - i cancelled the visa version after a while and continued with Amex version - didnt use it much at all.
Now I have got an email saying the intermiles card is being discontinued. and it would be replaced by Celesta Amex card - and it is "complimentary for me" - Heres the email i got

"
We wish to inform you that our partnership with InterMiles is getting concluded. To ensure you enjoy uninterrupted Credit Card services, we are upgrading your InterMiles Odyssey Credit Card ending with 4079 to the IndusInd Bank Celesta American Express Credit Card.

This Credit Card which offers unmatched premium benefits is being exclusively offered to you as a complimentary Credit Card."

So a couple of questions
1. Has anyone else reviewed such an email? Does complimentary mean LTF? Not interested in a fee card
2. How is celesta card? Worth being in the wallet if LTF

I have a LTF DCB, LTF Yes Marqee and Amex Platinum

Compliments from IndusInd so grab it…
IndusInd its all one time fee cards mostly they wont charge year on year

Celesta offers nothing to be honest. It is a card with 50k fee but no international travel benefits and is practically obsolete in the present time. Why even bother for such a free card when you're already enjoying all sorts of perks with other cards in your wallet.

Sir you have LTF DCB & Marquee.. you don't need any other card😛

He certainly does not need any Indusind card, for sure.
He should try for infinia, Biz black, Magnus burgundy and Atlas
Dont want to pay a fee for infinia - had rcvd a FYF upgrade but refused. Had Axis magnus which i cancelled post the devaluation in January this year. Dont trust Axis to try the burgundy. Cant get Bizblack as am a salaried person
Will probably keep the indusind till they dont charge a fee. lets see

I just received the same email from IndusInd! I’m eagerly waiting for the card to arrive because it offers some great perks like a 1+1 BookMyShow offer up to ₹700 off and golf privileges three times a month.

The website also mentions a Club Marriott South membership, but I’m skeptical about this benefit being included in a lifetime free card. Additionally, this card is on the AMEX network, and I’ve noticed there are often offers for AMEX network cards.

So I got my new credit card today and guess what, it is the same Inter miles voyage credit card. I called customer care and they said it's a compliemantary credit card, but not a free card (wtf!!!) so there will be Joining fee and Annual fee

Hello all. I had received the email regarding the same. In the FAQ link provided in the email, it says the following:

Question -1) Why Bank is upgrading my InterMiles Card?Ans: IndusInd Bank Co Brand Partnership with InterMiles (Jet Privileges Pvt Ltd) for Odyssey andVoyage Cards is getting concluded. In order to ensure uninterrupted credit card services, we areupgrading your existing InterMiles Card to other Life-time free IndusInd Bank Credit Card.

Question-2) Do I get all the benefits on the Life Time Free version of the upgraded card?Ans: Cardholder will be able to enjoy all the benefits of the upgraded card except the fee basedbenefits. Example: Welcome Benefit/Renewal Benefit if any

Question -3) What card will I be upgraded to?Ans: Cardholders will be assessed based on the eligibility criteria of the bank and will be offeredLifetime Free versions of the eligible cards. The same will be communicated to you via Email.

So what i have understood is: whatever card is being given that will be LTF and fee based benefits will not be given. I have received Legend Credit Card and Celesta Credit Card.

Coming to the original question: If a LTF card is providing benefits like: Unlimited Lounge Access in India, 2 International Lounge Access via PP per quarter, 3 BOGO tickets per month with price of each ticket upto 700, what is wrong in having it. And by the way the credit limit for celesta given is 50k and for legend is 1.25 lakhs.

Did you check the FAQ PDF whose link is given with the email ?

This card gives free EazyDiner Prime membership and Rs. 3000 off 😛

I opened my easy diner app and it showed that I am a prime member due to Indusind Celesta credit card. Nice!

Just want to see if we get free Club Marriott and Tablet plus membership as well.

Received the Celesta card now in October - called the customer care to confirm the LTF status, and they confirmed the card is LTF.
However on the tablet plus registration screen, i keep getting the message that the card number is not correct, nonetheless would probably keep it for the BOGO on BMS

Also - the fine print says you get 0.7 points per 100 rs spent on Govt transactions - has anyone tried this and got the points? IN this era, the points at least cover the additional charges on the advance tax site 🙂
