Devaluation INDUSIND select - Non maintenance charge

I have been having Indusind select savings account linked with legend card for a year now. I have never been charged non-maintenance charge so far. But strangely, I got a sms today that asked me to maintain balance failing which I'll be penalized with non-maintenance charge. Should I be doing anything at all with regards to this?

Is everyone getting the same message? Or am I the only one who got this message?

Have they updated anything in the recent SOC for select account? Any insights would be highly appreciated.

My select account got debit with Rs 227.76 and balance is showing -707.07 even when the account is linked with Legend credit. Have sent a mail to customer care email IDs, will update when I get a reply.
 
For the first time in 2 years, IndusInd Bank has deducted a non-maintenance charge from my account. I never received any SMS reminders in the past about maintaining the required balance. But just a few days ago, they suddenly messaged me asking to maintain the balance — and now this charge.

To make things worse, IndusInd has also reduced the savings account interest rate to just 2.5%, like most other banks recently. There’s no way I’m keeping ₹50K parked in this account for such poor returns.

I only had ₹10 in my Select account, and after this deduction, my balance is now negative. It seems like the bank’s systems are not properly identifying customers who meet the eligibility criteria for sekect account through their IndusInd Legend credit card.


Looking at other people’s comments, it seems like many customers are facing the same issue this time.

I’ve already mailed reachus@indusind.com requesting a reversal of the fee. Let’s see how they respond.
 
IndusInd charged non maintenance charge for first time.
They charged me total 910 rupees. Account balance gone -844 rupees.

Same here, got debited 1062. I have previously mailed them when opening account, confirming they will not charge with legend CC. They replied they wont charge still it was charged. Now waiting for reply after mailing them.
 
Did anyone done some transaction on legend credit card ?
I got a call in September 2nd week to make at least one transaction to avoid charges to select account for non maintainance. Also informed to make at least one transaction every quarter to avoid any charges in select account.
My account did not charged get of now..

Yes I got call from digital RM, and I did txn on legend cc. Still MAB charge debited...
 
I have been charged with non maintenance changes ~913 Rs on my Indusind Select account even though I have legend card linked with it.
What to do now? I have written in mail that for Legend card holders non maintenance changes will not be levied.

After getting your Legend Card did you link it to Select account and did you get confirmation afterwards that the account is now 0 MAB as a result of linking to Legend card ? You can escalate to customer care and if you are not satisfied by their reply you can further escalate to higher levels .
 
I regularly make transactions of ₹10–₹20 every alternate month on my Legend Credit Card. As per the bank’s own terms and conditions, maintaining an active Legend Credit Card is sufficient to remain eligible for a zero-balance Select Account.

My Legend Credit Card is active, and I have been making transactions on it, which should fulfill the requirement. Yet, a non-maintenance fee has been charged to my account.


Nowhere in the official terms it is mentioned that a minimum transaction of ₹500 is required on the Legend Credit Card to avail the zero-balance facility. If the bank refuses to reverse this charge by citing a ₹500 minimum transaction requirement, it would be nothing short of fraud, as customers were never informed about such a rule.

Even their official PDF documentation does not state this condition.

If this charge is not reversed and such unreasonable justifications are given, I will escalate this matter further and ultimately take it up with the RBI Banking Ombudsman.

yes i have an email confirmation.
I have send them mail today with earlier ss.
