Infinia/HDFC Add On Application By Email or only hard copy?

Anyone here applied for an HDFC Infinia add on card? Can I send the add on card request with the filled form through email or is it mandatory that printed application has to be couriered to their Chennai address? Note that I do not have any HDFC bank account, only the one credit card with them.

I submitted the application directly from one of their branches which was initially rejected citing there's no Surname. Even though the surname was added in the box provided.
Later, I again applied from a different branch just leaving a space in between the first and last name and it got approved.
I too donot have an account with HDFC.
We need to be careful while entering the details so maybe someone at the branch can better help us.

If you dont have banking account with HDFC, they will ask you to courier the form to Chennai or go to the branch. If the add-on person has some kind of HDFC relationship (customer ID), things are usually faster and seamless offline.

There's no waiting period as such

The bank employee will visit your premises on request and get the form filled

My wife has a HDFC account, I applied online through my net banking her add on card by entering her customer ID. DCB add on Card approved and received quickly.
But for my parents who don’t have any HDFC account I had to send forms physically through branch multiple times to process add on for them

Never tried cancellation. You can call the RM and check

Do airport lounge pos machine shows card name during card swipe there? I have taken addon card on our surname only so that any family member can use card. Never tried though

My parents and wife all of them swiped their DCB add on for lounge access, didn’t check the name but all four of us went through without any issues

call customer care and place cancellation request, take service request number to follow up. Shouldn’t be an issue

Hi! I am an Infinia primary card holder. I had applied for an add on card for my mother through HDFC bank mobile app 1 month back. We both have HDFC bank savings account. I can see my mother’s name in the add on cards section but haven’t received the add on card yet. What should I do? Thanks.
