Devaluation Infinia's discount on dineout minimum spend changed quietly

I was at my usual restaurant last night where I pay using dineout and avail the infinia discount and I noticed that to there are now two tiers to the infinia discount
10% upto 500 on min spend 3500
10% upto 1k on min spend 8k 😲

Kinda sux used to enjoy this silent perk almost every month.

PS: I forgot the old discount but I remember being able to get 700-900 discount easily on 5-6k spend. If you remember lmk and I'll update it here.

it was 10% off upto 500 for dcb and 15% off upto 1000 for infinia ...

now its 10% off upto 400 for dcb and 10% off upto 500 for infinia...

min order was 2.5k and above i guess earlier not sure on this but its now 3.5k :/

yesterday while using my bill was nearly 3-3.1k so infinia discount was not working so asked a friend for his dcb ;_;

now dineout is pretty useless with minimal discounts. i remember getting 7-8k on a large bill of 20k. now its capped and minimum amount is too high. eazy diner which i got thru amex is not much better. max one can expect is 1k.

I think it's due to the fact HDFC Swiggy card was launched. If someone wants that offer then they need it.

Yup that's what I ended up doing, most restaurants are on both Swiggy and Zomato so use whichever ones you have.

If you are saying wasnt it always better to buy vouchers instead, then it goes back to preference immediate discount vs points 🙂

If both DCB and infinia are giving 10% only, then DCB is better option as on weekends you get 2x RP for dining transactions. Making it overall 16.66% while infinia is 13.33%.

I had used DCB a lot on both Swiggy as well as zomato for paying dining bills.

From my experience, Swiggy dineout doesn't give 2x on weekend but zomato does.

Never checked food delivery.

if 8k + infinia is good if lower infinia or dcb depends ... like had a bill of 3k so had to use a friends dcb bcuz min order is 3k for dcb and 3.5k for infinia

Actually as @_ayush mentioned the best value if you have infinia is pay via Zomato or Swiggy dineout using credits bought via gyftr. Gives a flat 16% back as points.

PS: there is no limit for Zomato and Swiggy vouchers on gyftr currently
