how to check which pumps will give the cashback as only first txn will give the cashback. I checked the HP petrol pump list on their website and it's showing the HP pumps near my home. Will I get the welcome cashback if i transcat there.
Also since it's a rupay select card I can't add it to gpay and make the tap and pay txns so I will need to wait until i get the card delivered before i make any payments on this card?
Also what's the process of loading hp pay with this card?
Call IDFC and ask they'll send you a link where you can check the nearest pump as per your location.
Yes you'll need the card with you.
Nothing different just load normally go to hppay app if you're new user DM me for refer 😄. After that on home screen you'll find add money option. That's it.

Congrats bro. After so much hassle u finally got the card. Coming to ur question-- yes u can ask the delivery guy to deliver at ur office address. The Bluedart guy usually comes at around 12m-6pm. He will call u before coming. Ur envelope will have 2 address-- home and office. U can ask him to come to that office address.
As for the RP part--> use card swipe only for the 1st transaction of atleast Rs.500 at HP petrol pump to qualify for the Rs.500 welcome casbback. Keep the transaction slip safely. It can be used for any dispute in future. After that try to use HP pay wallet loading to get maximum cashback.

Within 2 days of the card swipe u can see 30X RP in ur IDFC app. If u see that then it means u will definitely get the Rs.500 welcome cashback next month in statement. But in case u dont get the correct 30X RP ( mostly due to wrong POS machine used by the dealer-- some of them use paytm pos instead of the bank one) then u can raise the issue with IDFC cc using the transaction slip as a proof.

so which machine will give the cashback? I can ask them if they have that machine before i fill the petrol.
And In the hp pay app I don't see the cc option in the add money to wallet

It can be any bank issued machine (not necessarily IDFC POS). As long as it is registered under HP it should be fine. Problem happens when some dealers use paytm or other POS machines registered under their personal name. In worst case the dealer may not even allow credit card payment through pos. In that case either try in another HP pump or pay using HP pay walletload and scanning the HP qr code on the pillars in the pump( dont scan the POS machine QR---> u wont get 30X RP) and raise this issue to the customer care stating that u have made the 1st payment using HP pay because ur nearby pump guy refused to accept credit card.
U can load HP pay wallet by going to other payment option--> cards/netbanking/upi--> credit card.

The pumps near my house allow payment through cards. I've already fueled from them in the last month from my other card and it gives the petrol pump MCC as I was charged for fuel surcharge. One pump already accepts HP pay as I had asked earlier I just need to check if the POS is registered with HP or not.

U will be charged surcharged even if the POS is registered in the person's name because the MCC will be fuel category. Fuel station qr codes involve lakhs of rupees of transactions daily so the fuel station guys have to mandatorily use Fuel MCC in their r codes. Otherwise they might get into huge income tax troubles if they use any other MCC code . Means even if the pump guy uses paytm pos registered in his name, surcharge will be there. Even if u scan their paytm qr code using Rupay credit card u can see the surcharge once the amount gets settled. But to get 30X RP in IDFC PP card u will have to use POS registered with HP. Before filling just let the guy know that u r going to use IDFC HP cobranded card. He may know which correct POS to use.

I didn't think so much when I got the card. Just went to nearby HP station and swiped for full tank and got cashback! I wasn't even aware card is not giving cashback on all HP pumps. 😆

it's just a gamble I think. I'll try the local pump and keep the receipt which I can use to get the cashback later
9% breakup (Normal Petrol):
Park+ gives 4% cb on friday, rest days its 3%
rest sbi cb cc 5%

BOB HPCL is not LTF for NTB customers . It is offered LTF only for ETB customers who have another BOB CC. Likewise IDFC PP is not LTF for new customers. But IDFC has converted it to LTF for those who use it regularly. They will notify this LTF offer in email and sms. Here's one such user who used IDFC PP for approx 1.5yr and got the LTF offer( courtesy Youtube channel: Tech and Technics):-

I am not gonna use it much in TPT.
My son uses HPCL fuel as their modern outlet is very close in HYD. Monthly 10K on fuel thru HP Pay. After a year, we might ask for LTF conversion. Tab dekhaa jaayega.
