Interest on balance due or total due for part payment?

I came across the below post in Reddit and was curious to know if a part payment is made before due date, are there any banks that charge interest on total due and not balance due? Please merge this if it's already been discussed

Every bank does charge on the Total Due only. Maybe we can check if any bank is not charging on the TAD 😉
