Axis is good for offline domesticHey forum!
Going on an international trip next month and planning to use my Atlas for all local spends like food and entry tickets. Is that a wise choice?
Also planning to keep the Niyo global card as a backup.
Please let me know your thoughts!
Thanks
Axis Atlas spends on Forex is not a great idea. Share your CC portfolio, we could suggest better options.Hey forum!

None of these cards gives you positive returns on forex spends and you have already reached gold tier. Unless you plan to reach plat tier by the card anniversary year, it is not wise to spend on Atlas.I am currently on the gold tier, far away from the platinum tier. Have already used this card for flight bookings, and the previous miles for Accor redemption.
Currently hold the following cards:
I am open to getting a new card if required, as I have recently closed a SBI Simplysave card
- Axis Atlas (Paid) - Primary card used for all spends
- Amazon Pay - for all Amazon spends
- Tata Neu Infinity (LTF) - for UPI and misc spends
- HDFC Regalia (LTF) - not used anymore
I used emirates app to book flight and got 5x points on atlashello everyone, I am planning a Dubai trip next month. And looking to book Emirates flights from B'luru .
Any idea if I can use Atlas on the Emirates website for 5x miles ?
Hotels will be booked by Accor points and rest would be paid by Atlas ( not sure if paying by atlas is a good option )
Or please suggest a better option for me to maximize rewards . Below are the cards I have
HDFC DBC
Axis Atlas
ICICI Sapphiro
Indus Pinnacle
HDFC Swiggy
I can apply for other cards if needed . thinking to apply Niyo Global
You applied visa through emirates? If yes, what's the procedure after booking tickets with them for both side ?I used emirates app to book flight and got 5x points on atlas

As someone pointed out earlier, Atlas does charge 4.13% as forex charges. That being said, it depends on how much are you spending on your card during your trip, how close you are to your milestone, and how much do you value your Axis EMs.Hey forum!

I read in some thread that most offline spends in Dubai belong to real estate MCC, which are not eligible for miles. So please check once before usage.hello everyone, I am planning a Dubai trip next month. And looking to book Emirates flights from B'luru .

I would say use Atlas...tricks are to pay entry tickets on klook or any other website using inr and in heavy local spends you can take upfront currency conversion of 2-3%(depends on pos machine)Hey forum!
