Suppose an IPO is oversubscribed 50 times in the HNI category and oversubscribed 30 times overall. If a person applies for 200 lots in the HNI category, how does the allotment process work?

Will the allotment happen on a proportional basis, or will it be based on a lottery?

Does applying with more lots than the number of times oversubscribed guarantee allotment?

Not worth applying for IPOs with small retail portions, such as Senores with 10%, which only amounts to around 53 Cr

Not in mainboard ipos
In SME IPOs still there is proportionate allotment for hni (soon will not be there)
