Today i went to HDFC branch(offline) for Card to Card Basis application for HDFC Millenia Card, there a branch person told me that they do not offer millennia to Self-Employed. On Previous instance another person was there who said it will be done at that time i had just been decline axis card so didnt proceed with the application. Now they are saying they will give either Business Regalia or Business Moneyback, But in my use case only millennia Fits. I don't have any previous relationship with HDFC.
Anybody having similar experience and Got millennia? plz confirm either is it their executive's bluff or true?

outside. has verification happened to you?
didn't applied as of now. just was curious to know as to what verification guys do as i live alone and many a times remain out of house, so i can say verification guy to just take pics of house from outside, i somehow i might not be available on his visit day/time.

Yes, but in card 2 card process it doesn't matter if you're salaried or self employed, only thing that matters is the card statement your are giving should have at least 1 lakh limit and is 6 month old as told to be by the hdfc agent. Also the 90% limit should be available in the latest statement
I gave 4 month old apay icici card statement with 60% used limit and still got it. We never know how they do it.

This all depends on the person who helps you at the bank. My cousin is a student and holds a LTF Millenia credit card. No, my cousin doesn't hold even a classic SB account, just had a regular SB account (we did not map it at that time to priority banking, nor did the person who helped know about other family members holding priority accounts, since my cousin went to a different branch by mistake). The SB account was closed later and now just holds the credit card. When someone asked how the credit card was issued, my cousin replied the person who helped did not cook up anything; just got the necessary approvals.

My cousin is still in college and still holds the card from the last couple of years. It all depends on the person who helps.

My application got rejected. This is my first rejection since I started using credit cards i.e, approx 2.5 years.
Update:
Few minutes ago, got an SMS from HDFC Bank stating 'Get Ready for Your New HDFC Bank Credit Card'. Visited https://leads.hdfcbank.com/ and checked for credit card application status once again. My application is now approved.

I got Millenia after 2 months after I turned 21 and as a self employed person. Trick was, I applied for ICICI APay right after my birthday, got 2.6L limit (my credit history is good) and the agents made it work.

My profession is listed as self employed, because I keep getting business loan banners on HDFC
