Is it possible to change the BOB advantage account (SB 101) to BOB mahila shakti (SB181) account variant?

My mother is the 1st and only holder of the account.
And yes I tried to change it to SB181.

What problem did they encounter during your visit to the bank?
If they aren't able to convert it to mahila shakti then only possible way is to upgrade to super savings & after activation of RSDC we can downgrade it back to lower variant.

No, the staff was good and very supportive. He had proper knowledge and was ready to do what I asked.
He tried multiple times to convert and shown me too that the system was showing that conversion to Mahila shakti is not allowed.
Might be some rules have been changed.

yes. its ok u can downgrade ur ac after taking rsdc.

System was throwing error that conversion to mahila shakti is not allowed. He showed me the circular also where same thing written.

I faced a similar situation during the account opening time of my mother. I told the bank employee to open a Mahila Shakti account, and as soon as I tried to fill in the details of the PAN & Aadhar card, there was no Mahila Shakti account variant option available. The only option was Advantage & some other higher variant. Because the branch people were busy due to customers, I thought, "Let's just go with the advantage account, and later we will convert to Mahila Shakti," to which I asked the bank employee, "Is it possible to change the account variant?" and he replied, "Yes," but I wanted to confirm if someone had really done it or not. I had slight hope because drvirag has done it, but seeing your case, I am assuming it's not going to happen.

Anyone able to change recently.. I filled the form but got call from bank that they are unable to update the account type to mahila shakti and they confirmed with backend that its for new account only..

I was able to convert successfully around may25
