Is it possible to convert Kotak Royale paid to LTF

Ok, first off I tried to search if this or similar query exist in already created threads; but couldn't really find. Apologies if this has been answered before.

So, I hold a Kotak Royale since over an year, that was an upgrade from League (also paid). Is there a way to covert it to LTF? My credit card relation with Kotak is fairly old, maybe 6 years or so.. I'm ok to downgrade also as the card has minimal rewards and I'd like to keep it only for offers.. Plus they increase limit every now and then.. I've reached 5L since initial issue of 50k. Due to another LE shortly..

Any ideas or suggestion pls? TIA

Before raising a closure request did you tried sending a mail to the bank.
Mail route also have helped some ppl here

Don't worry, in all probability their retention team will call you, initially they will try to lure you by quoting the various benefits of this useless card, but don't budge and ask for the LTF conversion. In the worst case they will offer you Kotak League which is another useless card but will be good for the rare 10% offers which Kotak runs on e-com websites.

Voila! Just got a call from retention team and upfrontly offered me to convert it to LTF and keep the card. Zero efforts on call from me 🤣 Also asked if I wanna upgrade to Zen LTF.. Anyway, I just wanted to keep for offers.. Both Zen n Royale has pathetic reward structure.. So I continued with Royale.. Thanks @Bigde for the help on this one..

How did you requested please tell me too I also hold platinum league card but I don't want to pay annual fee I just want to keep it for offers like you.

One bad news for you 😉
You should have taken zen signature card as it comes with priority pass which has 3 international lounge access per year.
Whereas signature doesn't offer this.🙂

He had requested for closure of card, but this method is very unpredictable, if you get call from retention team you can place your request else you end up loosing the card.

For league platinum it might not be difficult to convert it LTF.
Call customer care and ask them to convert it.
Keep doing until they agree

I could like to hold 1 premium card as I don't have any single premium card in my portfilio.
