Hello experts,
I just received a WhatsApp message saying offering I am eligible for IndusInd EazyDiner card. Signature card offer is 1.9k + gst joining fee and 1.9k + gst annual fee but platinum card is offered with zero joining and LTF. Is it worth to apply and get this? Your guidance will help me to decide. If you suggest which one to go for ?

Thank you !🙏

First answer these two questions..
1) Do you eat out much? If not how frequently you eat out and what would be your bill each time?
2) do you go to movies once every month ( Two people minimum)

Okay, you get 2 free bms tickets (max of ₹ 200 each) every month for ED signature CC.
Ie 12*400 = ₹4,800 worth free movie tickets per year for 2k+ gst annual fee card..
You can work out the savings you get
Yea not worth it, aaj kal 200 ki ticket hoti bhi nahi hai toh it'll never be free anyways I guess that's the catch
And uski maths ke hisaab se probably better padega bhi nahi

Think it depends on how much you eat out, where you are located, and whether you happen to be a regular movie-goer.
If you eat out even once a month, and are located in a city where you have decent Eazydiner Prime coverage, then just for that reason, it would be worth having the card. And on top of that if you watch 5 6 movies a year, that is an additional saving. And if you air travel, the lounge access feature that comes without spend criteria could also come in very handy.
As a regular reward card, it certainly isn't worth it.

Thank you all for throwing some light here. We eat twice a month and live in Bangalore each time bill would be around not less than 3000 Rs. Having this card just for eating is worth? I have below cards as well. Experts advice here would really help to decide on it.

Amex platinum travel card , Amex gold charge card, infinia metal, SBI PRIME, SCB ULTIMATE, YES MAQUE, TATA NEU INFINITY, Axis rewards ( formerlay Citibank rewards) , IDFC Wealth, Amazon Pay ICICI, Axis flipKart, kotak indian oil, Union Bank select, BOB ETERNA, ICICI Saphiro( Amex and Master card), ICICI Rubyx, Axis MyZOne and Axis Indian oil, Induind Pinnacle.

With that collection of card generally you'll see a different card giving you a competing offer

Generally I've seen the most discounted restaurants on easydiner are also discounted on other platforms and those that aren't discounted on easydiner are sometimes still somewhat discounted on others, so no extreme value I feel
But it looks like you're into collecting cards and at that point you might as well 😛

I just use gyftr to get Swiggy gift card and use it for my dining expense along with whatever discounts Swiggy is already giving, I just hope it doesn't get too prevalant and they stop allowing Swiggy money for dineout 🥺

Thanks ! Actually not, I have stopped collecting. Some of these are old ones and kept them just for CIBIL score history only. Need to be closed the ones which do not add much value. So was wondering if this is worth considering only from the point of food.

I agree the 200 Rs ticket may not be there in Bangalore and it's worthless
How come it's worthless?..do you guys even understand how it works??.
For example , ticket is worth ₹300, you get a discount of 200 and hence you have to pay ₹100 only per ticket..is it really worthless??? I can't understand...
For regular movie goers is it really worthless???
What else you guys expect?? Full ₹800 waived off per ticket for 2 tickets per each month for a card fee of ₹2k + gst per year ???

You will get ED Prime membership along with the Signature card. Also you get 25% off every time you dine when you pay through ED app. In my opinion, it is worth the fees.
Well I got the card. Some things to keep in mind.
- You have to book a table from the app and pay through the app.
- Very few restaurants have partnered with ED. And some who have don't accept this card.

So it all depends where you live and how good the network of restaurants on ED is in that place. Also you need to have the patience to do everything through the app.

Thank you, 🙏 I have my answer now. After considering this, it's probably better to let it go. We can spend a little extra rather than dealing with the hassle of trying to save a few pennies.

No.. but like in the yester years 200 off on 2 tickets would mean getting to see a movie in like 100rs for 2 people

But now the same means more than 400
So the movie discount hasn't grown proportionally even though ticket prices have

Like I said it depends on where you live. Also on how how often you eat out or go for movies.
In my case I go out regularly but in Goa, there are not many options on ED. Also I hardly go for movies. So not really a great card for me. Now that I have the Infinia, this card is useless for me. I have however completed the spend criteria to get my fee waiver so I'll just keep it for another year.
For some people it can be a great card.

Has the cost of the card gone up propotionately?
when you are determining the worth of a card, you need to compare its benefits with respect to the card's cost...
I get your point but simply saying the card is worthless for what its cost, is not an appropriate term to use in the context...
