Is now the best time to apply for AMEX card?

I am planning to apply for an AMEX MRCC card. Are the new RBI regulations affecting credit card issuance rates? Will using a work email ID increase chances of approval?

If you are okay with waiting a month, can do it then as there may be some end of year offer for bonus MR points/gift when applied via referral. Can't guarantee though...

Do mrcc + either gold or mrcc + travel.

Depends monthly spends tbh.
Mrcc-20k per month and another 6k for gold. So 26k per month for that combination

I use Amex Gold only for buying Amazon Pay vouchers worth 6k per month and use that for utility bills (also gets 5X rewards)

IMO, can close MRCC when it's up for renewal and make Gold (vouchers) + Plat Travel - since your yearly spends > 5L from Amex as your combo.
