Is Video KYC Needed if Already Have IDFC Account?

It depends on scenario
1st if you have pre-approved pffer in netbanking no need of any vkyc or verification
2nd if you applied by your self then mostly vkyc won't happen and verification will be there
3rd if you had applied through agent than may be verification won't happen and as you had account vkyc won't happen. But it depends on various factor as you have credit history of cards what you have shown in income etc
For ex in my case I don't hold account with idfc, 2 days before I had applied through ldfc bank agent and I just have to do vkyc and I got my idfc power plus card

If you, (I mean your wife) really need IDFC CC then perhaps this is the best time. If good cibil history and credible records then they are approving immediately.
Nobody can say for sure what gonna happen in your case, but few days back I was issued my 1st IDFC CC within 2 minutes after vKyc. No documents, no verification. All the best.
This is quite normal about 18 months ago. I along with many others got our Wealth CC without any sb account within 5 minutes after the vkyc with a good cibil profile.
It seems things haven't changed much since then in this scenario at idfc
