Issue with Amazon Credit Card - Phone Number Mismatch

Hello everyone,

I’m facing an issue with linking my ICICI credit card to NetBanking, and I need some advice on how to resolve this without facing complications.

The Situation:
1. Credit Card and Amazon Account Linkage: My Mom's ICICI credit card is linked to my phone number through Amazon, as I applied for the credit card in her name for my own use which was using my Amazon account.


2. Problem with NetBanking Registration: When trying to register for NetBanking or even tried linking this credit card to my savings account, I get an error stating that the PAN numbers associated with the credit card and my savings account don’t match. (Obviously my mother's pan and my mine won't)


3. Issue with Linking to My Mom’s Account: I cannot link this card to my mother’s savings account either because doing so would change the registered phone number on the credit card to her phone number, which is not ideal as it's mainly paid for and used by me.


To avoid this issue, I was considering registering the credit card with a third phone number (Number B). Customer care has confirmed that this will resolve the NetBanking registration issue without causing linking problems.


My concern is whether using a third phone number to link the credit card will cause any complications with benefits like cashback and offers, especially since my Amazon account is still linked to my original phone number (Phone A), and the credit card will now be linked to Phone B.

You won’t receive any rewards if the registered numbers are different. Both numbers must be the same to be eligible.

in that case won't it be better to change my Amazon account associated number to match with my credit card.

Yes, it will be better, but some said they are not receiving the 5%/1% Apay balance on the spending using the ICICI Apay card after changing.
Also, when you go to link your Amazon account to another number, it will be a non-KYC account, as your Pan will be linked with your present account.
You have made a mess. The only solution I can find is to register your mother's card and account to your 2nd number and use it normally.

According to Amazon, your Amazon account number and ICICI card-registered number must be the same.

Did Amazon somehow figure out this loophole?
 
Amazon account has kyc number that is linked to icici credit card
There is no relationship between Amazon mobile no and email id with Icici mobile no and email id.
You can change any mobile no or email id n number of times as per your wish. Linking won’t break.

Not sure. I read in TF that both should match to receive CB.
