Issue with Scapia Credit Card KYC Verification – Need Help Escalating

Hello everyone,


I’m seeking some expert advice regarding an issue my father faced while applying for the Scapia credit card.


Yesterday, we applied for the card, and after entering all the required details, it showed a good credit limit. We proceeded with the KYC verification process. However, during the video KYC, there was some background noise due to kids playing nearby. My father politely explained to the executive that it was Sunday, and he was at home, so some noise was inevitable. Despite this, the executive said that the KYC could not be completed due to the noise. Before my father could clarify further, she instantly disconnected the call.


When I refreshed the application status, it displayed a message stating:
👉 “Please apply after 90 days.”


This was quite disappointing, as the issue was relatively minor and could have been resolved with a brief retry. Moreover, instantly enforcing a 90-day cooldown period for such a small reason seems unfair.


Has anyone faced a similar issue?


I’m wondering if there’s a way to escalate the matter or request a re-attempt of the KYC without waiting for 90 days.

Seeking Advice:


  • Is there any other effective way to escalate this or bypass the 90-day wait period?
  • Would filing a complaint with RBI Ombudsman or any banking grievance cell be helpful?

Any insights or guidance from those who have dealt with similar issues would be greatly appreciated.
