Here is my experience of opening Jana finance ( video kyc - variant account)

590 joining fees ,+ 590 annual fees in first year
Yes account variant name is - video kyc ( don't open other account type like sa+fd or digi account)

STEPS :-
1 - OPEN JANA FINANCE BANK WEBSITE WEBSITE LINK
2 - TOP LEFT MENU
NOW SELECT -
INDIVIDUAL
SAVINGS accounts
video kyc (4th In list ) 2500 mab or 25k fd
Start now

3 - FILL YOUR DETAILS
IMPORTANT INFO HERE WHILE FILLING FORM
IF you address doesn't have Jana finance bank branch your application won't go through.
What's the remedy - CHECK BRANCHES FROM here. :- BRANCH LOCATOR

Give new address as communication address ( no verification doc asked as u know ) but maybe during kyc u might have hiccups if you aren't calling from current address)

Solution is use - only for TF ace and above dm me


Now coming to Vkyc experience:-
( If u don't get agent keep trying u will get or schedule even then u might not find agent then just keep trying eventually u will get within a hour of try )

Complete address ( communication) with pincode
Tell u read code from screen
Picture & Signature

They might ask where u calling from

After this - they will inform you to fund 2500 or fund 25k & get rupay platinum dc for free FY.
But Tell them u are interested in Rupay select Dc & will get it by calling customer care.
They will agree .
Then they will inform about intrest rate fd rd . which you listen & nod .


AFTER KYC :- ONE HOUR INTO KYC I GOT CRN number
Logged into app with CRN number.
Called customer care ( it's straight forward call like idfc ivr directly connected to agent )
They will verify your details like name ,dob ,mother name , email
And tell them u want Rupay select dc .they will say 590 + gst agree and u will recieve a sms for request number.
While on call

You will get dc + dc pin ( 2 parcel via courier)
+ Maybe a welcome kit too

In same evening got call for applying dc & cheque.
Since I had cheque book.
I applied for just cheque book (25p ) free.
For passbook - was told to contact bank

If this Jana bank is actually offering 4X the benefit at just 590 INR, then yes i would do the same.

I would first confirm with Jana bank if quarterly renewal is actually the case or not. sometimes even on Canara rupay card benefits renew within same year due to BUG.

Canara Bank Renews each quarter as well.

Afaik all banks do it was updated by Rupay Select but the banks didn't update in their website that's what I'm guessing.

The benefits are provided by Rupay (NPCI) as long as banks are maintaining healthy relationship with NPCI benefits will be same irrespective of bank. If any bank differs, then that's a special case.

but i guess you can follow the address which is mentioned or check with Customer care for exact address.

1) Branch location mentioned in Jana bank's website is wrong.
2) Called customer care for the branch phone number (so that branch people could give me proper address), the number provided by them is also wrong (CC people are clueless).
3) Called CC 4-5 times for account opening appointment (as mentioned in their website), till now no response.

I guess email to nodal officer is the only way left

DON'T KEEP MORE MONEY WITHOUT HOME VERIFICATION

Takes 5-10 days for dc to come

2 CANARA CAN BE OPENED OFFLINE & online takes 1 month for dc to come
2k ,1k 0.5k. Uraban semi urban rular mab

Yes , if you deposit large sum they will do physical verification and freeze will be over
But offline account has not the problem
Since you open with verification/offline mode so it's agent problem

I invited them over today. I wanted to avoid 1180 debit card charges and subsequent 590 charges so I opened Premier account with them with 1 L IP cheque. Premier is a newly launched account by JSFB. They confirmed that no charges will be levied for non maintenance of MAB for premier account. The BM who visited said after receiving debit card you can withdraw the full balance.

Just let me know based on your knowledge, for BOB can we get two rupay select card ? I remember somewhere I read it on technofino. Also between BOB and Canara which is good and easy to open in Bangalore.

Only if I knew this I would've save 1180... Anyways I've heard it has Family Banking as well so if I open for 2-3 people from my family and link mine can give 1L cheque for each account and receive DC then remove balance?
