Here is my experience of opening Jana finance ( video kyc - variant account)

590 joining fees ,+ 590 annual fees in first year
Yes account variant name is - video kyc ( don't open other account type like sa+fd or digi account)

STEPS :-
1 - OPEN JANA FINANCE BANK WEBSITE WEBSITE LINK
2 - TOP LEFT MENU
NOW SELECT -
INDIVIDUAL
SAVINGS accounts
video kyc (4th In list ) 2500 mab or 25k fd
Start now

3 - FILL YOUR DETAILS
IMPORTANT INFO HERE WHILE FILLING FORM
IF you address doesn't have Jana finance bank branch your application won't go through.
What's the remedy - CHECK BRANCHES FROM here. :- BRANCH LOCATOR

Give new address as communication address ( no verification doc asked as u know ) but maybe during kyc u might have hiccups if you aren't calling from current address)

Solution is use - only for TF ace and above dm me


Now coming to Vkyc experience:-
( If u don't get agent keep trying u will get or schedule even then u might not find agent then just keep trying eventually u will get within a hour of try )

- they will ask you
Name
DoB
Father's name
Email id
Complete address ( communication) with pincode
Tell u read code from screen
Picture & Signature

They might ask where u calling from

After this - they will inform you to fund 2500 or fund 25k & get rupay platinum dc for free FY.
But Tell them u are interested in Rupay select Dc & will get it by calling customer care.
They will agree .
Then they will inform about intrest rate fd rd . which you listen & nod .


AFTER KYC :- ONE HOUR INTO KYC I GOT CRN number
Logged into app with CRN number.
Called customer care ( it's straight forward call like idfc ivr directly connected to agent )
They will verify your details like name ,dob ,mother name , email
And tell them u want Rupay select dc .they will say 590 + gst agree and u will recieve a sms for request number.
While on call

You will get dc + dc pin ( 2 parcel via courier)
+ Maybe a welcome kit too

In same evening got call for applying dc & cheque.
Since I had cheque book.
I applied for just cheque book (25p ) free.
For passbook - was told to contact bank

Can you please provide more details on this? Which account variant? Can you share link? I don't see anything their website? The Bank people are not aware of their own products? Benefits are refreshed quarterly except OTT?

I thought only a few banks provided quarterly refresh. then 3 debit enough to get 12 months benefits, correct?
Can you recommend which banks cards should I apply (cheapest possible way).
Shall I switch my salary account to PSU banks for RSDC ? Is it a wise decision?
One more question, my main benefit is cult fit 1 month gym elite pass, Shall we use 12 vouchers from 3 debit cards on cult fit platform?

You have to switch number everytime I guess

U can go for 5k in Jana
Canara bank for 0.5-2k mab account depends on location
Bob with 10k I guess or 15 or 25k I don't remb
TMB bank is cheap too
Pnb less idea some say u can get on 2k mab some say 50k.mab

Even if you maintain in those accounts if you earn
Fees of dc compensate for it .
So no need for running into free dc stuff

No it's not luck rather it could be either a loophole or bad implementation of policies, because there isn't any account variant mentioned for BOB RSDC anywhere publicly. Just that their software doesn't allow applying for RSDC in Advantage account. So we need to bypass the software restriction by simply opening a BOB Super Savings account, then get a RSDC after that downgrade the account by filling a form.
