Kotak Everyday Debit card

Hello members,

I have recently opened Kotak Everyday Account for Everyday Rupay Platinum Debit card. I have opened account for Kotak offers as well as Rupay Platinum offers such as Amazon rupay Friday offer. But to my surprise they have issued me Everyday Visa Platinum debit card.
I tried contacting Branch, customer care, no one knows whether variant to Rupay Platinum can be changed. They even said Rupay Variant I’d now discontinued on this account.
What should I do now ? Has anybody received this debit card on Visa Platinum variant and successfully changed into Rupay Variant ? Do let me know so that I can follow similar procedure.

As of now, no online processes allowed for Kotak.
So for everything you will need to visit the branch and ask there.
Worst case is to block the visa card and ask them to issue the Rupay platinum DC.

I have visited branch, they denied. They have even emailed their backend team. They said you have to change account variant for Rupay card and it will not be Rupay Platinum it will be Rupay Classic card. For Everyday account only Visa card is issued.
I gave also mentioned them about RBI guidelines that a customer can avail card on any network. But I don’t have that circular. So branch is like helpless. Any other mode u can try ?

Yes it is

Kotak Everyday account RuPay Platinum debit Card still available, you can apply through branch.

They need to apply manually for Everyday RuPay Platinum debit card variant.

You can also ask RuPay team on twitter, they will inform you card is live or discontinued.

No card is ever completely discontinued; banks simply reduce their issuance.

Kotak Mahindra Bank Replaced Every Day Rupay platinum debit card with of Every Day Visa Platinum debit card

Can go to branch and yell at them that RuPay Everyday was promoted when account was launched so give that only. They'll block Visa one and take request for RuPay one
