Kotak League Platinum - RuPay/Visa is being offered LTF

Kotak Mahindra Bank is offering its League Platinum Credit Card Lifetime Free in RuPay / Visa variant since January, 2023. It's a basic credit đź’ł with poor reward rate, consider it for offers only.

Credit: Recently FinTalks (FB group) member Amit Shrivastav got the RuPay variant. Previously Kotak League Credit Card had only Visa variant.

Pro Tip (5 Oct, 2023):

• It's best card right now to apply if you'll shop in this Big Billion Days sale because Kotak Bank processes application in 1-2 days & delivery 🚚 is also 1-2 days mostly. While Axis bank & others will take mostly 2 weeks for credit card application.

• Application criteria is easy, mostly approves. They'll try to match with you existing CC limit. LEs are also frequent.

• Cashkaro is offering ₹925 💸 cashback on applying Kotak League which will be extra reward on a LTF card. P.s. it's not a referral post, only you'll earn the cashback. I'm just awaring about the offer. Make sure to create cashkaro account before applying.

• For existing card holders: You'll also get cashback. Also they don't do CIBIL hit if you're existing card holder. Only Experian hits, I saw in report. Kotak is giving League RuPay easily even if you have existing card. So you can apply if you wish.

• Application for 2nd Kotak card goes longer. First they'll reject & then reconsider after a month and they'll approve you 2nd credit card application automatically.

Can someone help me with a solution for a cringe Kotak problem?

I'm holding a 811 account at a non serviceable area according to them (offline KYC done back in 2019).

Whenever I tried to apply for their card, they didn't allow me to apply because the pincode is not covered by them.

Now the issue is that they're offering cards to almost every pincode now, as my mom got approved for league rupay at the same address immediately without having any account. The application process was completely new and a new UI was there but whenever I try to apply, right after entering mobile number and OTP, it sends me to typical old Kotak UI where it asks CRN and rejects my application immediately after verifying the CRN (Thank you for your interest bla bla.).

Why are they doing this type of cringe processing? Any solution?

I visited branch, they're completely unprofessional and don't have any basic knowledge. An agent tried to apply but he also is getting an old software which doesn't allow my pincode.

But how did they approve my mom and dad's League Card at the same address?

Even my friends got this card at different rural pincode of my district. We don't have any branch in our district and they're also not their existing customer!

Once call to Credit Card Department and let him/her apply credit card on your behalf and see what happens and don't forget to have call recording, if the executive will face the same issue and wouldn't give you proper resolution.

Mail Nodal Officer and then Principal Nodal Officer if your concern persists by taking pictures of CRN and family members CRN having same address though they hold credit card and you are not able to process your own.

Lastly if this also doesn't work, either complaint to RBI Ombudsman or change your address for that time being to metro cities or others.

I had tried Twitter and Level 1 mail but they're saying that they couldn't find any application data in the system. Twitter team was asking me to apply after 6 months. But why the heck are they not allowing me to apply! They're issuing cards in my pincode now.

I had mailed to level 3 yesterday and haven't received a reply yet. Let's see if it helps.

As per Kotak CC, my application was rejected for reason CIBIL report but I kept getting preapproved offers, 2-3 days back I started getting calls for preapproved CC, I asked there must not be any CIBIL check they told me, there won't be any.
I got my card today with a 100k limit earlier I was getting a 50k limit offer.(1st Feb 2024)
 
On 12th December 2023,
As per Kotak CC, my application was rejected for reason CIBIL report but I kept getting preapproved offers, 2-3 days back I started getting calls for preapproved CC, I asked there must not be any CIBIL check they told me, there won't be any.
I got my card today with a 100k limit earlier I was getting a 50k limit offer.(1st Feb 2024)
Surprisingly I am still getting preapproved CC offer emails for 100k limit even after getting the card.
