Kotak Mahindra Bank Everyday Savings Account - Dead?

I had opened Everyday Savings A/C in Kotak Mahindra Bank around September 2023 because of Everyday Debit Card that comes along with this account variant. There were 2 main reasons behind it :
First was, since the debit card was of RuPay Platinum variant, it was beneficial on Amazon Friday offer.
Second was, 30% off upto Rs. 1,000 on EazyDiner 4 times per month.

Recently this debit card was devalued for EazyDiner benefit to 30% off upto Rs. 500 once a month and the AMB requirement had also gone through revision from Rs. 20,000 per month to Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 10,000 per month currently.

But from 1st November 2025 onwards, 30% off benefit on EazyDiner will be reduced to only Rs. 250 per month valid once a month and with this brutal devaluation, this debit card isn't worth at all for annual fee of Rs. 250 + GST.

I'm thinking of closing the bank account altogether now.

If I can switch to any other savings account variant within Kotak Mahindra Bank, please let me know which one would be beneficial with benefits in brief. Also, account holders of Everyday Savings A/C, what are you going to do or have already done?

I'm feeling like changing now to an 811 savings account. If anyone has a better idea... Please recc.

I was also checking out 811 Super Savings A/C but didn't understand depositing Rs. 10k every month. I'm exploring more benefits of the account and then will either change to that variant or close the account altogether.

Well, from my understanding... You get 5% CB on transactions up to 10k/month and hence... I'll set an auto transfer from another bank to this one. anyways... Please tell if you find anything better.

I'll be closing Everyday savings account, if I do so, will I be eligible for 811 Infinity metal debit card LTF if I open 811 super savings account with initial funding of Rs. 81,000 ??

I heard that it's available only for NTB customers and since I already had savings account, I possibly won't be accounted as a NTB customer, is that so?

UPDATE (1-Nov-2025) :

Successfully closed Everyday savings account today.

People at the branch were cross selling their products left and right so that I can keep the bank account open but I didn't want to open any demat or transfer mutual funds only to keep a savings account open and convert it into a zero balance account.

811 Infinity metal debit card, right?

Do you know what's exactly needed for it? I'll search for it on this forum but if you can tell or route to correct thread, it would be really helpful. Also, can I get all this online?

Thanks, will check it out but I've a query ... is 811 Infinity metal debit card even worth it?

I mean, 5% cashback upto Rs. 500 a month isn't that much of a benefit to open a savings account for and not a big fan of metal debit card ... it's good to have but not a dealbreaker. Is there any other big benefit worthy enough?

Wasn’t there a new T&C update for the Metal debit card saying that a ₹999 fee will be charged from now on? I don’t remember exactly.

I think yeh tha shayad -

While opening an account, if the customer opts for Infinity metal debit card with lumpsum funding of Rs.81,100 or more then issuance fee of Rs.999 (inclusive of taxes) will be applicable.
