TF Premier
Hi I went to axis bank branch for opening a bank account with them. So i asked what documents i need, so they mentioned they need original pan for clicking a picture.
Is it safe to let them click picture of original pan/ adhar?

is this the only method?

Also recently my company opened salary acccout in kotak, they just asked pan n adhar number no pictures were clicked and thumb based kyc was done.

Also I have another question that while opening axis account do I need to do initial funding amount of around 17k at the bank at time only or can do that at home the same day?

Then just surrender your Pan card, aadhaar card, mobile number, smartphone and everything else to government. Never do any online shopping. Don't even do cash payment as touching the currency with bare hand will give your fingerprint.
Bro just wake up.
You are living in the world where nothing is now private. Every minute details of any one can be obtained.
Haven't you used any of data anywhere?
In present era, even thinking about privacy is madness because nothing such thing is possible now.
Then can you please upload your adhar n pan original copy here, i can show you consequences.

You didn't understand the context bro. Try to understand first step by step.
1.You will have to trust staff at bank.
2.Even when you give Xerox, it will have your Pan Number and Aadhar Number and all the other information on it.
3.Creating fake documents with your data from the Xerox is no rocket science. Many apps and websites are there which gives this facility.
4. Now take a case, where you don't have trust on bank staff and chose to do online kyc.
•Your data including your pan number, aadhaar number etc. can easily be accessed by bank staff. Then can anytime see your data on there system.
5. Leave the banks for one second. Have you heard the news of Mangaluru? Check it once.
You can't even trust a government office.

So try to understand, there are only two options for us:
•Either have trust, and complete our day to day works like opening account, Credit card, taking new sim card, doing aadhaar authentication through biometric.
•Or just loose your hope in this world, and stop using any documents, any online stuff.

You simply can't avoid the misuse of your documents. Every entity that holds your data can do anything with it. And you can't even figure it out.

Yes i know misuse can be there, that's y I was asking how can we avoid this, using zexox copy, i know misfortune can happen any time, but we should try to avoid it and take precautions as much as we can. So just wanted to know if there's any alternate for giving original copy.

You are NOT GIVING the originals.

Only SHOWING them.

try to submit masked aadhaar photocopy instead of normal aadhaar. they will try to throw tantrums, but you can stand firm & if they still don't budge tell them to give in writing that masked aadhar is not acceptable & give some indirect threat to compain to rbi ombudsman.

P.S. you'll still have to show your original aadhaar for visual inspection.

While my account opening , Axis Employee masked my Aadhar number by black sticker then took photo of it for uploading.
