Tried just now (SBI) and it settled within seconds. I hope you are paying within billed amount not outstanding. 🙂 If problem persists use other options.
Used Indus MC+Unipay/Airtel 4 days back...got full points...redeemed them...easy peazy 🙂!!

I used HDFC bill pay on 30th July & got the points for HDFC Platinum debit card.

Bhai kyi rumors faila rahe ho. Likha toh hai milega utilities bill pay pe 1 cashpoint hai
Bhai use SBI unipay, JioFinance or Canara Setu.
Canara Setu --> I was able to debug api & confirm that it tied to utilities bill payment.
JioFinance --> It always fails for me --> tried diff cards but never get single success payment
SBI Unipay --> I never used & for now it's least priority in using it.
Among above 3 I found Canara Setu is better & never saw decline for even single transaction (Paid almost 12+ card bills)

HSBC is still on NON-BBPS so missing on almost all payments portal.

I paid the HSBC bill on 30th July & got the points too
No, HDFC has removed a lot of billers and you won't get points on HDFC Billpay now. You have to use your card on Jio/Canara/Unipay.

I have an AMEX card payment of around 1.6L.
How shall I pay -
I have HDFC Platinum DC, IndusInd MC DC and IndusInd Signature Select Visa DC.
I usually use SBI Unipay for MC and Paytm for Visa.
Last time I paid one of my CC bill using CRED+Visa but dint get any RP's on my IndusInd Visa DC
I had planned to pay 1.125L using IndusInd MC+SBI Unipay and rest by Visa+Paytem, but I think I read somewhere that I cant pay AMEX bills as it is not on BBPS platform yet.
I have not used Jio, Airtel or Payzapp for above mentioned DC's of mine until yet.
Which is the safest way to pay 1.6L ? 😀 and get RP's ??

Damn not sure when I have high bill to be pay or have expense devaluation is like here I come. Neverless have 5L bill on hdfc in September 3rd week 2024. It yet to be generated so 🤷 for maximum cashback which dc I would be using. Idfc dc is first and idfc app bill payment would not fetch some time so sbi unipay so would test and pay 5K on each of these and try which one work or not.
None of the ways you mentioned work for amex currently. Use cred/Mobikwik. No points for Indus DCs
